Mistover is an upcoming hardcore RPG from the same developers behind both TERA and PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds. Mistover is considered a "deep, strategic RPG" with tons of replayability and a procedurally generated dungeon system to keep the game fresh every time. The game is something of a "cross between the mechanics of Darkest Dungeon with the thrilling dungeon crawling experiences found in Etrian Odyssey".

So is BlueHole going to be suing every JRPG developer ever for infringing on the genre they've invented.  :p

meh, I alwyas think the game who amke you lose char on permadeath that easily as a easy way to make you spend less time on said game, part of the rpg experience is atachment to your character when you develop him not only on levels and gear, but also time spend, but then you amke a game who that atachment is null, ther eis also the thing about you can't prevent the death and you are going to die, and there is nothing for you to prevent that

I wonder why that is? I was just thinking the other day how turn based games are less fun to me as I get older, because they seem more dull. FFX is an example of a game where it seems so simplified, however the chess board concept allows for a lot of actual strategy and innovation. I understand finding it a little more bland though.

I think it's because the combat portion of these games are exactly that "games."

It's not like a role playing game that is trying to be immersive as far as making a player feel like they are in a place.

So, for example, Darkest Dungeon is "a game." Its whole setup is that of a "game" and less of a feeling of being there.

I can understand that, definitely requires more imagination.

These are the kind of games perfect for mobile yet there's so few if any of them. I don't mean turn based rpg ala SW, but the DD like. If they put Banner Saga there, they could put this as well. Just make it b2p... And don't abandon it.
