as long they don't fix their golden gun (p2w) and cheating problem, all those fixes are close to useless (at least from my perspective as a non cheating player).
but as it seems, enough people are buying the gold guns to make it worth it... well you have to if you wanna win i guess ^^
so... other question: does someone know why mmos are so bloody slow with taking over ideas those days?
i mean.. those things are basically made for BR BGs or for example moba styled BGs.... but noooooooooooo.....
even wildstar only did a pve moba bg... not pvp.
anyone got enough cash to start an mmo?
gamedesigner, c++ coder here, gimme a shout *G*

What a derp lol. APB has its issues including cheating (name a fps/tps that doesn't) but p2w is not one of them. Lack of understanding is abundant with this game.

looool. you are funny.
this whole game design is made to level up contacts, to buy better items, weapons and mods.
and you think buying maxed out guns is no p2w? what else is it, according to you?

THis is like my guilty pleasure game APB. I've played it since it launched and it is just fun . This game would be a blast in a free for all shoot'em up. I am about to install and make noobs cry "again"
Says the guy that has a name that sounds like he is one of the Devs at Little Orbit. The game was fun, I just wonder if anyone plans on finishing it at some point.
If you want a new idea, go read an old book.
In order to be insulted, I must first value your opinion.

Because nothing you get from the shop gives you any advantage in game. You can play the entirety of the game without ever spending a dime and be on an even playing field. You think you do because you lack understanding of the game mechanics. You get killed and blame it on the cash shop, but it’s 100% false.
I see this is still running and wonder how in the hell Matrix is not still running or Auto Assault
Aw, Matrix Online!
In regards to APB, I loved the character and vehicle customization options, designing tattoos, the thrill of getting almost caught or shot, and the game's modern day theme.
On the other hand, the P2W aspect, hacks, etc., ruined the game play for me way back when. Have the new devs addressed those issues?
On the wake of APB BR news, out of curiosity, I've tried third-person view BR game - Ring of Elysium. And it turned out it's much more fun than any small-scale (1v1, 4v4, etc.) PvP I've seen before.
I'll surely give this mode a try if there will be any non-boring cosmetics. On a character which I'm not afraid to lose to their overzealous anti-cheat (i.e. without my set of "p2w" legendaries).
Seems like putting as many Battle Royale articles out as possible is the new meta for getting clicks in. 99% of people in this thread dont play the game but came in just to complain about BR.
Well played. This is the same tactic Fox News uses to get views. Create a headline that incites anger.

I wouldn't say that most people dont play them and its not really mmorpg.com's fault for reporting on them. Its more about getting tired of seeing the gaming industry jumping from one fad to the next, trying to desperately make some quick cash with minimal effort. Its no different than when mobile gaming was (and still is) just flooding the market a few years ago. Before that was mobas/arpgs and before that were wow-clones. Its pretty sad when you think about it.

thanks for my evening laugh. I do agree that the shop makes little difference, but the reason for that is that most of the people run cheat programs when they play. So if you don't cheat you have zero chance.
Well, from what I've seen as someone who decided to check it out recently, it's extremely difficult to get any actual progress in the beginning because the green-rated maps are almost completely empty. Or have been every time I've queued in - EST prime time. Can't even get into higher rated ones 'til you've ranked up enough.
Then, from watching a few streamers, it seems like there's only 2 or 3 maps that are ever active - always the same 2 or 3.. and players always stick to the same 1/8th of each one. Every time. Then there's the rampant team-killing that goes on and which LittleOrbit does nothing about.
A lot of people just seem to hang out in the social area.
Servers tend to get super laggy as well, to where you can see the actual delay manifest in a variety of ways... shots registering well after they're taken... shots appearing to go through walls, etc.
I was really interested in this game and started to check it out, but man... I don't know. I think LittleOrbit should be focusing on tightening up the infrastructure, optimize the game/engine and do a better job of dealing with the griefers/team-killers before they try to bring in more people.
Ok, you don’t like it, but why shut it down? Does it affect your life having the game running or something?
I realize I replied to your response to someone suggesting it be shut down. So, to that extent, I *could* understand you asking me that question... IF I'd actually echoed the person you were replying to.
Except I didn't.
Read my post again. Carefully. Notice the statement I make in conclusion.
To save you the time, I conclude my post saying, to paraphrase, I think they should be tightening up the infrastructure and working out the issues the game currently has before they try to build on it.
How do you get "they should shut it down" from that?
If a house has a faulty foundation, do you build more floors on to it, or do you repair the foundation first?

I didn’t read the last bit but in my defense the question was “why shut it down“ and the response was filled with what looked like reasons you felt justified them shutting it down, which would be silly considering if they can keep the doors open then there’s no reason to close them.

-The customization sucked.
- Company is too strict on memes and well hate symbols.
- Limited Customization / inventory space.
and did you just complain you couldn't use swastikas?
