Once a year, every news writer's day is trashed by the annual "just plausible enough to maybe be real but really aren't" jokes that game developers seem to have a penchant for foisting on the world. That's right. Today is April Fools' Day, the day of silly jokes, goofy devs and outrageous pokes at the games they make. We'll be adding to the article throughout the day, so put on your chuckle shoes and join us.

    After 6 years and 13% completion,Star citizen will release as finished by 5pm this afternoon.Gratitude will be shown to early backers in the form of discounts,15% off your next ship purchase.

    On a lighter note .Blizzard is set to release their first mmorpg !!

    Twitch streamers are doing it for the gaming and not the money.

    Taxes and bills will plummet this year and governments will be 100% transparent and honest.

    The Canadian dollar will close by end of day at 99.9 cents US.

    McDonalds is a very healthy alternative to real food.

    There will be no more unfinished games released in 2019.

    It only takes one blonde to screw in a light bulb !!

    Diablo 4 will be GOTY and all Blizzard executives will have their bonuses reinstated,they earned it.

    Don't forget to turn your clocks back an hour

    While there's no mention of it anywhere in the notes, CO is switched to monochrome and players get the "Dark Champion" perk after login. Probably it is Cryptic's version of a joke :)

    (It looks really nice though. Have a certain Burton's Batman vibe, since it ain't simply a black and white switch, the sky is dark and cloudy too, etc.)

    'This does not apply just to ED but SC or any other game. What they will get is Rebirth/X4, likely prettier but equally underwhelming and pointless. 

    It is incredibly difficult to design some meaningfull leg content that would fit a space ship game - simply because it is not a leg game.

    It is just huge resource waste....'

    You could have just done the Star Citizen one. That was the best one and was worth an 'awesome' by itself.

    This reminded me of lite-brite and my firs thought was someone really needs to add a lite-brite system to the side of a computer case. That would actually be cool.

    IGN's April Fool's joke was a fake Nintendo Direct.

    I don't think I've ever heard of a company using fake content from another company for an April Fool's joke before.
