Elsweyr is almost upon us, as May 20th marks the start date for those of us who play Elder Scrolls Online on PC. In the next month I’ll be basically biding my time until I can make my black Khajiit Necromancer, but until then - why not get hyped about the four big pillars of content coming in ESO’s next chapter?

Good to see that, no matter what game you're playing, Debbie Downer is there to stomp on everyone's joy.
I PLAY the game dude, so chill your fanboy rear. My POINT was simply the only thing that differentiates classes is skill lines. You should just be able to spec into ANY skill line on your main if you want, like they did the Psijic skills. It makes the game extremely unfriendly to alts. To play a Necromancer I have to start from scratch all over again in ALL things. Mount speed and all that is not even account-wide, so I start with a mount that I can sprint faster than. It is stupid. I want to play necro, but I don't want to start from scratch with everything again. Any class can wear any armor, can use any weapon, why not just do the same with skill lines as well. Screw it. Just MY opinion.

Pretty sure it's because the game was originally supposed to play more like WoW, with tab target controls and everything. They re-purposed the system they had and turned it into soft-locking combat, and loosened up the concept of the classes greatly, but the basic framework and mechanics are still there as a vestige.
Classes do at least create some distinctive flavored themes to roll with, but they had no need to be an element you have to pick and are locked to at creation, as all of them could have been obtainable as archetypes from respective guilds instead, and you just pick one line to begin the game with.
I guess if you just love grinding out skill points, wayshrines, mount speed/stam/inv; etc in the game you welcome a new class. I for one would rather just have a necro skill line to use with my main. I want to play a necro.....don't want to have to grind everything again. This game is not alt friendly at all imo. And I disagree with the class flavors, when every class can use all races, armor, weapons, and guild skill lines in the game....the only thing that sets you apart is the three core skill lines. Not enough imo.
It's a relatively superficial layer, and as I said, there does seem to be no real deep reason to not break them away from being rigid classes and move them into being standalone lines people can collect. It's simply a mechanical holdover from when the game was slated to be something very different than what it eventually turned into.

Yesterday i played it on PTS, so:

Lies! Its big EMPTY Desert map full of NOTHINGNESS! (It was hard to find simple mobs just to try out skills, but Mountains are there, ofc. How can we have map w/o em?
Whole map looks smaller than Morrow/Summer.)

Thats a challenge. I never did any, and not planing to. (I tried raid in GW2 with guild, we spent like an hour trying to kill first boss. >.> I did 2 vet dungs - its soo loong and soo booring.) I wonder how much challenges game journalists/critics completed?

It has like 15m health. I got one shotted on my max lvl full best gear char (no cp tho). Some one res me, then i died again, (i had no soul gems then) ported to wp. Got my gems returned to WB (its still had alot of HP, while like 10 people was fighting it) i was kinda far away from it on the side, its sneezed - and i got one shotted again, YAY!. (I have no idea how am i suppose to dodge invisible long distance AOE)
I did some WBs on summer, i think this one is crazy. ( its too long to kill it if thats gonna be daily, and its requires ALOT of people.)

I have no idea what that means, if it means it SUCKS - i agree.
When someone says necro im thinking of mage that summons (SUMMONS!) alot (ALOT) of minions.
Seriously: GW2, D3, Grim dawn (Titan quest - dont have much pets on one class, but alot of classes with one), (Torch light), PoE - all have better necro with alot of summons. Even ranger's pets more usefull. >.>
3 skil lines:
1. For magicka attack. (just one skill also can be stam)
2. For summons (mag/stam) (all summons are crap/not perm)
3. Mag healer.
One of the ults make you big skeleton monster, just for limited time....THAT FORM DONT EVEN HAVE ITS OWN SKILLS!!

Currently: Games Audio Engineer, you didn't hear what I heard, you heard what I wanted you to hear.
Now, if we could get some devs to be as creative was Sigil games(No longer) who made the classes in Vanguard, that would be amazing. Some of the classes in that game were absolutely incredible. Blood Mage(My favorite class in 20 yrs of playing MMO's) for example - I have yet to see ANY MMO make anything like this class and how unique it was. Disciple - Mix between a Monk fighter and strong healer(A lot more unique and in depth than how I've explained it).
Why don't dev teams take chances on new unique flavor classes? They're missing out at some good shit.
What really needs to be done is work on server performance (especially on the EU server) and fixing the battlegrounds queue system where you load into the BG map and the team rosters do not populate... THAT is what needs to be fixed.
