Also deny people the option to play female avatars? In 2019? In the time where a developer was prosecuted for making an egalitarian rpg? Good luck.
If you would make it as a joke game with lots of parody and over the top comedy- I can totally see major streamers playing it as comic relief and get major views.
Think Goat Simulator
The closest I can think of is an ancient game called Lemmings.
Whoever remembers that, you're getting old.
Lemmings was my jam on Amiga500
Such a great game
Indeed.
I often put it on just for the music.
Your avatar reeks of Amiga500.

Have you ever considered that it's not the developers?
Err ... I've never demanded "sexy clothing" in any game ever.
It was always what developers have thrown into my face without ever asking beforehand.
Specifically I was enraged when Vanguard went basically completely bare midrift in their redesign of the female characters. I'm sorry but the only characters for which a bare midrift is OK is maybe female bards, possibly also rogue. But a sorceress etc with bare midrift just looks completely stupid.
Also one of the reasons why I picked Vanguard was specifically
realistic looks. Versus the absurd looks in games like WoW which just
turned me off.
Another really bad thing they did was adding oversized armor shoulders. It wasnt as awful as in WoW, but it also developed in that general direction.
Neither me nor any of the other players was asked if they wanted such a change. Also Vanguard definitely didnt fail because they lacked sexiness in the characters.
I play Male characters sometimes. Depends on the game and style so in that case......
MMORPG = Many Moms Online Role Playing Guys
And all this time i thought Men were hitting on me.....
A wife playing male knight while husband playing a priestess. One one MMORPG charm is you don't know who behind the avatar , so just forget about real life and enjoy virtual game life haha

Honestly I'd welcome a game that only had male avatars - better than feeling like a pedophile surrounded by loli races, or a pervert surrounded by massively-breated women in stripper clothing.
Although I'd prefer to just have MMO developers stop needlessly sexualizing their characters, regardless of gender.
Have you ever considered that it's not the developers?
I personally find it disturbing when people connect sexualisation with the choice of attire. It leads to the reinforcement of rape culture and the notion that the choice of attire is directly connected to sexual acceptance.
Removing sexy attire or even worse, removing selectively from only one sex, further reinforce this notion that the choice of clothes and sexual acceptance are directly connected. When in reality they can be completely unrelated.
Umm... A bikini IS a sexual outfit, even if it is made of chainmail. You can deny that all you want, but clothing and sexuality always have been and always will be inextricably linked.
And I'm only complaining about it with respect to female avatars because they're the only ones that this happens to - I've yet to see an MMO with assless chaps as a clothing choice for males.
As for the bikini, it has an utility function and can also be aesthetically pleasing. Wearing one however does not objectify the person that does, whether it's an in-game avatar, or a person in RL.
I was worried about which YouTube video this linked to, but I'm glad I did!

Personally the only modern MMORPG trend that annoys me is the idea that MMOs need to be designed in a way to attract people who don't actually like MMOs. Which to me makes about as much sense as someone trying to figure out a way to get vegetarians to eat at their steakhouse. - FARGIN_WAR
