It seems the Ascent: Infinite Realm is nearing its closed beta phase in Korea as Kakao Games will so start accepting applications for testing opportunities. Applications are being accepted from May 29th to June 19th with the caveat that applicants need to be 18+ years old.

    Apparently if one can believe the Thailand tests this game runs even worse than Tera and that thing is almost incompatible with anything above 1080p

    100% false.  I'm playing it right now at 1440 getting above 60fps and even tried it at 4k but fps dipped below 30.  Its actually very well optimized for UE3, way better then Bless and on par with Tera or I would say even a little better.  Graphics are dated, but there is a lot of content to do.  I'm around level 25 atm and I will say expect to do a lot of aerial quests along with ground.


    So far enjoying the game and its exceeded my expectation of what it would be.

    Ran smooth as butter for me even with high ping.

    I've seen people play it (twitch) on the thai server, and the biggest complaint (besides cash shop worries) is how many limitations it has.

    There's limits for how many times you can do certain things per day (or per hour). If they keep it as it currently is, that won't bode well for it's longevity. The gameplay seems fine and there's quite a bit to do (pve and pvp) until you reach level 45. They haven't added most of the stuff you can do at that level and beyond yet.

    This game is a single threaded horrid monster... UI is pretty bad too, every time you open a window... you get BLESSED.

    the golden age of mmos is gone but games like this spark a wee bit of hope
