The Dauntless roadmap has been updated to provide players with a forward look at some upcoming features including the new High Skies Hunt Pass. High Skies features the "arrival of a mysterious figure" and will be completely different from the current Hunt Pass. "Sail all the way to level 50 to earn skins for each of your six weapon types, plus a complete set of cosmetic corsair armor," the description reads. Players will also find a ton of new cosmetics in the shop as well.

It's like youve missed the last 8 years of gaming. Monster hunter games, soulsborne style games etc. Yeah. You dodge. A lot!

I recently got into Dauntless. However, it feels empty. Hardly any story and limited roaming, add more content and not just same old song and dance.

I've tried it again and found it suffering from the same syndrome as Warframe: badly tuned RNG. For example, how many runs should a player perform to get a single "common" reagent drop from a mob? Apparently, 12 runs isn't enough. I guess "rare" components will require hundreds runs.

you get more parts for doing more part damage and the harder the types of the enemies drop the higher level parts.

You shouldn't judge other people's mental capabilities while liking an obviously bad game. Devs couldn't even balance monsters having a year post-release and tons of investments from both their shareholders and now Epic Store - so it takes ~0 effort to kill monsters using ranged attack and nigh impossible for melee (unless carried) due to obscene amount of 180/360 area attacks with tennis-court-sized damage areas.

Maybe 4-5 years later Dauntless will come close to Monster Hunter: World, but till when it's just a trial version for MHW. I mean everyone who isn't terribly poor and like Dauntless should switch to MHW, otherwise shouldn't play games at all and instead work to get out of poverty and purchase MHW :-)

I like the combat in dauntless, especially the close range mechanics for the guns. Every boss has its own patterns and when you learn them melee is fun.

The biggest draw is the cross play and ease of access.

Mhw is alright but I found the combat to be significantly annoying and clunky when using anything not melee. I love the palico, if you could play one I'd be on that As for generating resources, you have to hit the area you want the resource from. If your hiding at range and never going in you won't ever break parts off hence why you don't get anything .

You can play a Palico in MHGU, its out on Switch. It also has about 300% more content then MHW and a steeper learning curve.

'the only way he could nail it any better is if he used a cross.'

    Kyleran on yours sincerely

'But there are many. You can play them entirely solo, and even offline. Also, you are wrong by default.'

'This does not apply just to ED but SC or any other game. What they will get is Rebirth/X4, likely prettier but equally underwhelming and pointless.

It is incredibly difficult to design some meaningfull leg content that would fit a space ship game - simply because it is not a leg game.

It is just huge resource waste....'

All the Dauntless features/coverage and new attack accounts on MMORPG are perks of being an Epic Game Store Exclusive. :D
