I have high hopes for this. The 'flow' was the biggest problem in this game. I'll be checking it out later today.

Just did an hour or so with a semi fresh character. Combat feels a bit smoother, lots of loot dropping too. I will need to play some more to see the finer nuances but it feels a bit more like an actual ARPG. Levelling speed seems improved too.

Just played a new Assassin a bit. MUCH improved combat and looting and progression. This is good stuff.

To much Warhammer ARPG going on right now! Was waiting for this one to drop an Chaosbane dropped one also. It's like they are fighting for my time now.

Yes, it's definitely better now. Faster combat, animations and targeting is better. Loot is a lot more fun too. I got a relic drop on the third mission which was nice to see.

A lot of people are moaning on the forums though about some of the changes. I assume they are late endgame things that I'm not really aware of.

Only issue I'm having is my fps tanks to like 10-20 between missions where it shows the big ship on the screen. I'm at like 150 fps during normal gameplay. Not game breaking but it's pretty weird.

EDIT: Turning off the frame blending option fixes the fps problem on the starmap

So....they basically applied the same code from Chaosbane to this? I mean good idea, but I'm pretty sure that's exactly what they did.

Played for a couple hours. It is much improved. Everything feels better. I truly like that you can change out your load during missions now. Not getting the end of mission rewards was a little bit of a let down, but it makes up for it seeing more stuff drop during the runs. Did notice that you get them still from the intel missions but the rewards are really lacking on those as nothing was worth using for it.

Game seems much faster now than before, was one of the things I saw a lot of gripes about. Got a long way to go to max out now. Was maxed out on everything before the expansion. Have noticed though that I have gone 8 levels now an still haven't had a hammer drop that was better than my level 40 artifact weapon. It feels like they have reduce melee builds some as almost all guns that drop are suppose to be better, but my hammer still one shots most mobs and is what I want to play with.

Still have a almost unkillable build though. It takes about 6 champions with flame throwers to get me below 50% health. Ran a mission at the hardest setting. It took me a while to get it completed but wasn't that hard to do. Just had to make sure I wasn't pulling the entire room. Take on about 5 or 6 at a time an good to go.

It is much better, I agree. I've been playing since my last post and it looks like I'm going to go and eventually check out endgame with this one.

Game forums on Steam are full of praising but it didn't translate into higher user reviews rating so far. Write / improve some maybe?

edit: it look like we are about to get summer sale on Steam next week, I'm going to get the game...

I too dropped the game because of the grind. Might check it out when I have time in between my time in CoH.

I am one of those funny players that does not try out games, so when I get this and it is already on the wish list it will be as fresh as a gaming daisy. The combat will be better too, that's the value of not jumping in too early. :)

I played for an hour last night.

Feels much better. Excellent metal music interspersed with chaos warriors...awesome :)

Still on my wishlist. We'll see where the reviews level out at and if it goes on sale. Might get it if it the signs are positive.

How did you conclude this? Serious question since I play both and fail to see any connection. These games are pretty far apart and the biggest patch changes are actually in the crafting, endgame and tarot parts which are all wildly different (and superior) from Chaosbane.

I still don't like the feel of it. Something's off, but I can't quite put my finger on it.

Must suck to have to budget your gaming time to the point that you can't even try out games. As valuable as my time is I still manage to at least try every game that piques my interest. Though, I get it if you're on a tight budget and $50 counts as an investment for you. Still, makes me appreciate my position, so thanks!

I thought the game was pretty good before 7/10. this patch easily makes it an 8/10

I have a top gaming rig, money is not the an issue. The issue is time, I just don't have the time to try out games that I may end up not wanting to play. Also I like games to be fresh for the best experience. Wait until launch, read the reviews, in this case the reviews were somewhat mixed, so I shelved the idea of purchasing. But we live in a gaming age were games do get significant upgrades down the line, or perhaps were released too early, that's an open question.

As a I am a Warhammer fan this one was not going to go of the radar, so now I will just wait until it is a good buy, way too much to play atm.
