Money spent on big names, not gameplay and content, is it needed? I would rather have the dosh spent on something other than celebrities.

Fav film: Ted from Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure, so good they are doing a new one for next year. :D

I think he's great at what he does but he doesn't have an amazing range.

So he did an "ok" job in Dracula, not so great in Much Ado about Nothing.

    My favorite?

1, Well, I think he hit is stride in John Wick.

I know we can only pick one but "2nd choice" is ...

2, Constantine (I actually love that movie - some amazing performances - wish the demons were designed differently)

He can do witty conversation though. I mean lots of conversation like in Destination Wedding.

    For me it is Constantine.

I would argue that Neo is the worst Keanu Reeves character. A complete cardboard cut out. Its the characters around him that I remember most about those movies.

I think he has more range than given credit and he showed that early in his career. His apparent lack of range has a lot more to do with typecasting following roles in memorable blockbusters. Not unlike Sigourney Weaver who can also bring it in different roles when not cast to be a badass. (As an aside, this is currently happening to Scarlett Johansson who is the new Scifi queen.)

But I agree with you. Constantine and John Wick are my two favorites as well.

While there might be some truth to that, do you really think he did a good job in Dracula or Much ado about nothing?

Because in my estimation he did an "ok" job. Doesn't have control over his voice like you would need for a role like this.

I will agree that hollywood is stupid and they can only see what's in front of them with no real imagination for what an actor can do.

Then they become all so surprised when someone breaks out of a specific mold.

Like with Robert Pattison. People are hating on him for playing Batman right now but he is a great actor who has done some terrific work since Twilight. He is going to kill it in that role and I will be their watching with a smile on my face
I think Robert Pattison IS a good actor.

But one can see that regardless of how poor the movie is written.

You know who else did an amazing job? Billy Burke. He has a scene where he is talking to his daugther and it could have been an amazing job in any other movie where a father has a heartfelt talk with his daughter.

Keanu? Great actor within the confines of what he can do. He has his limits. And as I mentioned, it's because he doesn't have as much control over his voice as he needs to have.

It’s gotta be the Matrix for me. I will always defend Reloaded as a an almost worthy sequel to the original, the less said about Revolutions the better.

I love the Matrix lore. It’s such an awesome universe. I hope the rumors of a new movie series being developed are true.

favorite is probably Paul Sutton from A Walk in the Clouds.
I've really just always loved that movie.
Anthony Quinn and Giancarlo Giannini are just terrific in it as well.

Probably either John Wick or Agent Utah, but I figured I'd throw in good ol' Jack Traven from Speed as honorary mention. I loved that movie when I was in my teens.

I think is a good decisioin to put Keanu Reeves on that role, it´s a magnific plus to a game that only hear its name I feel the need to buy and to play it. Cyberpunk!
  • LilithMLilithM Member UncommonPosts: 82
Make me wonder when they say the game is also about Johnny; whey they didn't just scrap the idea of a character you create and have us play as Johnny instead. The last thing I want is a dude that is there at every inch of the way and making it harder for me to play the character I want. Or that he influence quests and force us to take certain paths, or else. I love everything I hear about Cyberpunk, I like Johnny too, but I hope our V won't just end up in the shadow of Johnny Silverhand.

I can't pick a favorite though John Wick is probably it if forced. I know who the actor is and can get lost in the action but overall he is one of the few actors that I enjoy seeing what he can do as he feels pretty limited in range but gives the most he can.
