I really wish they added more realms before release and not after.

If only it were true classic. Too many modifications and under the hood changes have been made. What a shame. I hope everyone is having fun though!

People are already raiding Molten core and its been out... less than a week? Not sure why people rush it since theres a cap... They're gonna make themselves bored as hell and quick.

To my knowledge one guild has done it and they abused a dungeon XP exploit that very few people knew about til it got nerfed or fixed. in any case theirs still plenty of content left for the rest of people who aren't even max level yet.

Man the stupid epeen swinging in here by some folks... I could give a crap what some nobody on the mmorpg forms thinks is going to happen to a game, if I'm having fun, I really really don't care, but man does it get tiring hearing people rubbing thier crystal balls this furiously.

MMORPG.com is where old, bitter and beaten down mmo players go to die.

Hopefully Classic injects some a fresh cycle of players into it, but I doubt it.

    You stay sassy!

The pull is undeniable... but I've been there and done that. So many games (great ones) in my backlog I need to finish and some fun titles in the next few months...

Glad others are enjoying the return, and also glad those who missed it are able to experience it.

It truly was something magical, and I hope those playing are finding and enjoying the same magic we did all those years ago!

On the other hand - I am happy that people are having fun.

But none of what I said has to do with people having fun - I never made any claims that people won't be having fun

    or

    that people shouldn't have fun.

This is what few on this forum are doing - twisting my words into something I never said and then posting it here - it's pure lies.

I simply said that the game will decline rapidly after launch - same as Blizzard devs have said.

That is all - the discussion was never about fun at all.

    Just curious:
    1) Are you currently playing Classic WoW?
    2) Are you a current or former "retail" player?
    3) What are your overall impressions of World of Warcraft, of any given era or Xpac?
    4) Are you of the opinion that people's interest in Classic WoW is primarily due to "rose-colored nostalgia glasses", or any other such trope?

Another data point - twitch stats for WoW classic - you can see the declining trend as well in the first week alone:

Also the dropoff from launch day to day 2 is indeed a rapid dropoff.

Now of course this is just twitch viewership and # of twitch channels - it is not a read of in game classic population.

But it does show a massive drop of in twitch viewership in the first 2 days alone.
I've been playing everyday as you login at server selection I have seen no difference most PVP servers are still full(meaning queue) the rest are high and depending on time of day they go lower then high but at afternoon EST till midnight they are full or high all of them same as day 3 which is when I started. The data points you show means nothing to someone that plays which can see server list bro.
