    Grind CR
    Grind CR
    Or.......wait for it

    Grind CR.
Loved the game all the way to cap, but after that? Nope. Maybe its better now, but when every new release was locked behind CR, I just couldn't keep grinding.

Marvel had its shot as well, but they decided otherwise... (and their exit resulted CO)

Nice article, explains well what my main problem is with DCUO. As Lantern above said it too, the grind. More precisely the CR grind (since grind on its own is a neutral concept).

Gear grinding and especially gear score is on a toplist of harmful mechanics in a game - at least for me. On top of that, to make things even worse, I'm also a story focused player...
DCUO has the worst possible combination of those two: long and boring gearscore grind, to gain access for some short story snippets, then more grind for a bit more story snippets, etc. etc.

It's a really fun game, nice world building, good voices and story, a bit too console-focused control but still smooth, the powers are fun to use... and then you reach 30.  :I

Dead game. Poor mechanics. Bad community. The End.

I think they have taken the idea of "theme park" a little too seriously then, queue here for the Grind Ride Dodgems!

Several people must disagree with you to port a “dead game” to Switch and put out minimally 4-6 new episodes a year!

If they could implement a cross-play that would be awesome but even Blizzard says that’s not a task to be taken lightly especially in a game that was originally built for PC.

If you’re a DC Comic fan then there is no other dev staff that is as passionate and knowledgeable about reading comics and implementing in game story!

Switch servers has a better community based on experience though. If ever they do decide on cross play, I hope Switch gets one with XBox servers instead of PC/PS4
