It just shows that the market requires uniqueness in order to survive. You can't just throw shit out the window and everyone gobble it up now. Bless is a testament and a lesson of what not to do. I eventually gave it a shot a while ago and it was one of the most boring MMOs I played, I quit within a few hrs.

Like I been saying for a while now. More MMORPGS will shut down because people were in time going to stop buying every piece of trash that developers threw out there to try to make money. Games need to be made for gamers to play not for companies to make hand over fist money off gamers. When games like this are made the masses stop spending money and tell developers to fuck off. Then there is no money to be made.

We'll see it again in a year or 2 under a totally different name and we'll be like "isn't that just Bless Online with a different name and parent company?" Not like it hasn't happened before with all of these eastern MMOs.

Wait, I swear I saw a thread recently that this was the best MMO around.  Am I imagining this?

I remember it being super buggy when I played it. It probably would have made a better stand alone RPG.

It was just a dull game. I didn't care that there were areas that didn't seem finished. It just sort of led you here and there. Talk about "on rails."

And the combat was just so weird. Not satisfying, not interesting, very boring. The world wasn't really much of a world so it wasn't "that" type of game where exploring could yield some enjoyment. dull, dull, dull ...

The only reason why games like these even make it past the launch phase is the MMO-addicted players who are foaming at the mouth to play something, even if it is complete shit. They MUST log-in to something and play, for these players gaming is not just a hobby, it's a daily routine they can never get enough of.

All it takes is some overblown trailer, some criptic screenshot and a launch date annoucement and the crowd goes crazy, they start building up hype, mostly because they need a fix. The companies milk them for some cash and move on to reskin, relaunch the same shit on a different platform or simply to another project.

At this point I'm a really surprised that there are still gamers who fall for it.

Was about a year and a half too late.

The game was DoA, just like Astellia.

And yet companies never learn... case in point - Astellia.

The combat revamp for NA/EU was such an epic fail - as pointed out before launch but hey - gotta laught about a few posters here telling the few of us who pointed this out how we were wrong, and how good the combat was LOL

    Fun times.

Whoa! if people actually liked the combat then they liked the combat. Again, I found it deadly dull but if people liked it then they liked it.

They still buy all the trash that shows up every week on Steam but they are just not buying mmorpg trash.

Thing is that 99% of the games hitting market are such cheap efforts that the dev teams and publishers don't care one way or another,if it makes it great if not no big loss. The logic appears to be,throw enough shit at the wall, something will stick.

The majority of gamer's also appear to be bandwagon jumpers, when something becomes popular among streamers tons of players join in.Like all those dota type spin offs ,the auto chess and the tactics one, those piles of crap likely cost them 2 month salary to make. However we see 30-40 popular streamers playing them, then millions jump on the bandwagon.

Another popular trend i see is SIMPLE, a lot of gamer's appear to like the every simple games, less effort to play,no real commitment long term, just bounce around game to game.It is what it is ,not everyone wants to dig in the trenches with a game but i also have to wonder,WHY are people bouncing around so much if these games are so good? When i find a good game i play it forever, years even.,

Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.

Weird comparison to talk about buying games on steam then say "like all those dota type spin offs, the auto chess and the tactics one". Those games are free.
