Every year, EVE Online fans descend upon Las Vegas to celebrate and discuss internet spaceships. Each year the event brings announcements and more to players eager to see what the future holds for CCP’s grand sandbox experiment. And after the year CCP has had with EVE Online, it’ll be interesting what the team has planned for the last EVE Vegas for the foreseeable future. Here’s what I’m hoping we’ll see and hear about at this year’s event.

Well I'm hoping to see PVE server or at least PVE separated and truly secured big space (even w/o link to PVP space). Then IMO new player drop rate no more show 90%.

I know it's dream, but please let me dream about this.

PvE server? Really? Lets just stick a fork in it now then. There are other things to do to help with this than a PvE server and limiting the amount of interaction between players - Combat or not.

I'll never waste time in Eve cuz what's the point? I'll just get pwnt the moment I set foot outside the noob zone but gankers who HAVE NO LIFE and like to wait outside a gate to kill people. A PvE server would allow me to indirectly challenge other players through economics and such. However CCP would have to improve PvE NPC combat

"EVE Online is a game about its players" Correction, EVE is about "only specific players who are allowed in the inner circle", lol. Because anyone who has played EVE more than a few years, knows that the GMs are notorious for encouraging harassment of new players both in-game AND outside the game.

There was even a period when some people got hacked and DDOSd because of this "encouragement" by GMs. It all started downhill when CCP added the ability to add player bounties without any crime committed or contact made. And it only got worse from there.

That aside, MMORPG only lightly touched on the topic of employees no longer working for CCP and they need to not mince words about it. There are BIG reasons why CCP runs in the red and has lost so many employees over the years.

So what do I expect from the fanfest this year? Absolutely nothing because EVE is not even the shadow of its former self and needs to just fade away and shutdown. CCP would have to practically revamp the entire game to correct itself and they would never do that because they have no spine and always cater to that loud 2% of their playerbase. Just like CCP did when those same kiddies told the devs to stop the work on the "walking on stations" content, and CCP did.

    Really? Which one?
Main problem with EVE is simple - new players hate to be killed hour after start game and lost everything.
And there isn't way how to fix it.
I know it. I have two account since beta, I remember times when anybody can travel almost everywhere, No gankers at gates, no over skilled gankers in 0.5-1, these who even police can't easy kill. And if they can, these trash is back in no time to harras new and/or pve focused players again because this is only one thing what they want - just drive away players.

I understand this game is about space control and pvp I know. But what I don't understand why have to be this in 99.1% of game space.

I know game economy health only work if ISK's float both ways - to players while playing and from players when they need to build/buy ships and pay unkeep for anything. Easy way, true.

And what I even know - forcing players (new or old) to PVP everywhere isn't working way. Pure PVE players like me NEVER enter same PVP pain river again. Even if CCP give me 10 top ships I'm not interest because this game have ZERO future for PVE players.

ATM game is home only for limited number of hardest PVP players.

There isn't same game like EVE. One of best game ever. This is why I dream about more PVE in this great game. Even if this mean separate pvp and pve universe I'm for. Just give pve players really more safe space. More PVE doesn't mean less player interaction. You know.

btw: i know there are farmville like games, tons of other pve games. I know I'm Carre bear and I'm happy with that :)

What would even be the point of EVE with a PVE server?  The only reason that industry exists in the game is to fuel the PVP.

Without PVP, no ships are lost and without ships being lost, no one needs to buy your shit.

You just want a mining simulator or something?  I truly don't get it.

Now, should Empire Space be safer?  Yes.  I do think that Empire Space is currently entirely too dangerous.  It's even more dangerous than null sec.

I'd really like to see miners, mission runners, signature runners and just industrialists in general have a far safer and secure high sec experience.  You should be able to log into the game and mine cheap ores in empire without worrying about being exploded every second of the day.

ATM game is home only for limited number of hardest PVP players.

This just quantifiably isn't true in any way shape or form.  I'm currently in a 40 man industry corporation in Null Sec and 90% of any given day is shooting lasers at rocks in our fleets of Rorquals and we have multiple industry citadels cranking out all kinds of things.

And that's just one corp in the alliance.  At least 70% of the alliance is doing some kind of industry at any given moment.

Did you read my post? NPC can't destroy my ship?
Or let SAFE space be really SAFE w/o exception.
If PVE players can do missions or mining w/o chance to be ganked by pvp players in safe space everyone will be happy.

    CCP have to make decision.
1 - they do zero to make game more peacefull for dedicated PVE players and stall their playerbase
    or
2 - they make safe space really safe and let PVE players enjoy their gane and raise their playerbase.
    or
3 - create gates to parallel universe where any player can travel there and back. Players can't transfer any ISK or items between. One with pvp enabled second with pve only.
More players = more subscription, pvp players happy, pve players happy, ccp happy = win win

At least 70% of the alliance is doing some kind of industry at any given moment.

Sure but under 100% time PVP protection by pvp players.
Live under neverending stress because anytime someone can destroy your work in one second isn't game for pve focused players.

High Sec becoming secure, so it can be the tutorial zone for newcomers.
People need to learn the game before engaging in PVP, and learning the game take months, so these people need a safe place to learn the rope at their own pace.
