The community was nice. But gameplay had me bored to tears.
I got farther ERP ing as a lizard man than map progress to insulting npc placement to the gazillion fetch quests, to the "instant dungeon" menu transport break immersion.
It's an odd title that drifted so far from home it needed something unique to keep it populated. It lacks... Very boring generic, so another "forgot I owned this" in the digital trash bin, er, game folder
i love dungeon finders in a game great mechanic but the combat looks boring in ESO i bought it at day one and i was forced to subscribe for 3 months they are scum!
also , that image is just a 1/2 inch away from being the biggestr gaming meme in 2019... #yikes
That's his minotaur trophy
Grouping in Old school mmo's: meeting someone at the bar and chatting, getting to know them before jumping into bed. Current mmo's grouping: tinder. swipe, hookup, hope you don't get herpes, never see them again.
They have a F2P event while another event(witches festival(, is still going? The folks at Zenimax must be hell bent on trying to burn their servers down.

Forced?
You were not "forced" to buy it nor were you "forced" to subscribe.
MF was also very upfront and vocal about how a subscription would "make the game the same for everyone", remove barriers and so forth. And there were articles that mmorpg ran about the rebirth of the subscription with the launch of ESO and Wildstar.
So not only were you not forced to subscribe they were upfront about the subscription as well.
Now lest you get the wrong idea I disagreed the reason been given for having a subscription. I took issue with those who believed that having a sub was the best way to go - especially as previous Elder Scrolls games were b2p.
Now as far as the combat goes it is what it is. And if you don't like it I have no issue with that. Odd choice of phrase though "looks boring" - did you play it for 3 months? If not you could try it now - maybe the new classes might handle better. And if so you will (I think) have "credits" for your initial purchase and previous sub that you could use to buy some of the new content.
Play for free, Roll a char, goto Elswyre and go kill some Dragons. Do the quest line on the main story for Southern and Northern Elswyre. Great story, great characters. Cant count how many times I laughed out loud. I dare you to listen to the dialog, dont skip it =-P

You know the game only has 6 servers ...... they will cope.
The quest style is boring and tedious and the world looks like a dragon flew over and took a massive brown shit all over it. Like seriously, they could have let the artists use something other than shades of brown when making the art.
That said, if it were f2p I know a couple of people who'd have checked it out. Free for a week is kinda lame considering you still have to buy the expansions and stuff. Could have made the base game free at least now.

Forced though. Nah.
