Personally I was going to buy the game at Game Stop, but since I found out it uses Denuvo not going to, and if I were to rate this game i'd give a flat zero because through-out the entire game it uses additional resources it does not need by using Denuvo, and slowing down a persons performance and PC more than needed.
But this is just me, i'll be waiting if the game goes Free 2 Play in the future on Origin, but until then not worth my money, though I have my eyes on Cyberpunk 2077, think i'll snag me a collectors edition shortly for $200+ at Game Stop DRM free with Multi-Player support said to come love them developers a lot over Bioware except for the Older Jedi Knight Dark Forces II, and Jedi Knight Academy / original KOTR game.
Another game another Renoaku post about denuvo being the downfall in gaming because it made their PC run slightly slower.
Cons - Woefully short: See you in a year or two when it is on more than a 50% discount. I won't pay for a trailer that is masquerading as a full priced game.
Well, if it really is 25/30 hours, it's not really short.
I'm fine with 25 hrs actually. Most adults nowadays don't have 60+ hours to spend on a single game, especially gamers who play or like a lot of games.

If Denuvo is slowing down your PC perhaps its time to upgrade my friend. I doubt you could even run the game if thats the case. Also does Game Stop sell PC copies anymore?

I think it has more to do with Denuvo being his own personal crusade.
He's had personal beef with Denuvo for a while. And when you couple that with his crusade against multiple anti-cheat softwares, well, I'm not saying he's a cheater, but...
Now now, there's also a fairly high chance he's just trying to pirate it.

That's a possibility but I think he's one of those people who just freaks out over his computer security and having other processes running. Not saying Tin Foil Hat but "tin foil hat."
Of course, one should be cognizant of what is going on in their computer, but when a good many games use anti-cheat software then after a while one must either learn to accept it or walk away and do something else. I don't see it going away completely.
Fair. I've seen a lot of legitimate and tinfoil distaste for Denuvo. But I've never seen legitimate backlash against anti-cheat measures (except when they DON'T work).
I've bought it and will play it after work tonight. The interesting thing, apart from the review of the game, is the comment about the 15 hours and the value. If it costs £3/$4 per hour to enjoy it, then that's on par with the cost per hour of entertainment in a lot of things, such as cinema, nights out drinking, renting a movie etc. For me, if I enjoy it, then it will be have been worth the money.

It's funny reading all the negativity on here. I feel sorry for all the hard-up people who are trying their best to find reasons not to pay for and play a game, as though it will make them feel better if they convince themselves and others not to play it.
If money is that tight, maybe you need to get off your keyboards and start making some. I bought it (PS4), I know it will take me 25-30 hours to play and enjoy, because I won't be racing to get a review out, and the £3-£4 an hour of entertainment i will have received is pretty decent in comparison to other entertainment that I spend my cash on.
The game was reviewed, but did you have to come on here and tell us why you aren't going to buy it, like anyone cares what you are going to do. People can't discuss a game and game play any more, it's always about crap that most adults will just suck up or decide not to play/do - but won't feel the need to moan about it to the world.

That's five to six days for me then, rather short.

Well, I think one has to put it in perspective. So sure, I have about 1900+ hours in skyrim. But I expect that type of game to allow me to play that much. There is a lot of replayability. Other games lend themselves to more one shot deals.
Dishonored? 21 hours to finish the game. and I was satisfied.
Portal 2? 15 hours.
Hellblade? I feel I'm close to the end and 8.4 hours.
Checking a site that gives estimates for how long a game is: Doom 2016 I see is about 25 hours, Batman Arkham Aslylm about 25 1/2.
The original Deus Ex 37 1/2. Half Life 2? 19 hours.
More actiony games aren't really going to be like explore the world, do what you want, live a life.
So 25 hours to 30 hours isn't unexpected. It falls within the ballpark. Whether or not that 25 hours can supply a great experience or not is another thing. If a game gives me 50 hours and it's a slog then "ugh."
If a game gives me 15 hours and it's a joy then money well spent.

Not sure, i happy easter bunny sounds a lot like an anti denuvo site.

Two people giving it a FLAT ZERO! Possibly the lowest score ever!
My quick review for the Not-So-Expert-Gamer/Jeez Dark Souls Sucked Crowd:
Just finished the "tutorial" area. A lot of "push this button while holding this other button" stuff (using controller, don't usually but can't imagine using K/M). Combat is definitely Dark Souls like. I have it on second easiest difficulty and died many times. You can chance difficulty on the fly thankfully. If you didn't like DS combat you WILL NOT like this. Just a warning.
You will have to memorize different button pushes for combat. "Push this button to block blaster bolts. Push it quicker to deflect back to enemy." "Push this button to attack, while also pushing another one to parry. Parry quick enough to push another button to super attack." "Push this to jump, but hold this one to not actually fall." I'm too old for that shit. Their are popups to tell you what to push when but in the heat of battle it's hard to see sometimes.
Using Origin Premium so I'm not pissed. I was scared off when I kept hearing DS-esque. The Uncharted aspects as the review showed are pretty nice though. But waaaaay to much DS for the average gamer.
YMMV but I though someone should chime in to warn the DS adverse folks.
And I SWEAR to god I don't want to see Git Gud! The call of the self-punishing gamer if I ever saw one.

have you tried to compare the combat difficulty to the lowest? I wonder if that would make things more palatable.

Yep as soon as my breakfast is done and eaten I'm going to try it on Story Mode. Just popped in to write a quick review/get some things off my chest!

I guess my question is, how many difficulty settings are on offer? How large is the leap between difficulties?
I've always been of the mindset that a large number of difficulty settings with smaller climbs between them are better. Easy, Medium, Hard works, but ideally, you'd have somewhere in the range of 5-10 difficulties.
I don't want to turn off all threat of death altogether. I want a difficulty setting where my chances of losing are low, but I always feel as though I'm engaged with the game's combat and actively trying to win.
Hey guys - I signed up for Origin Premier and have been playing this game since I got home from work around 2 hours ago.
I set the difficulty on Jedi Master. This is second from the top, which on the explanation screen it showed basically enemies do 50% more damage, are 50% more aggressive, and you need to be 50% better with your perfectly timed parries.
So far I think I am basically in the first real starter area, which is gorgeous btw, and I am learning how to actually fight.
If you are a PC user I gotta stress this, REBIND Z to LEFT ALT. If you have a normal sized hand, it is impossible to dodge correctly with it being set as Z as you cannot move at the same time. When it is set as LALT you can use your thumb to press LALT while at the same time doing directional movement with WASD.
I have another suggestion on how to play the game too. Drink. Alcohol. I cracked open a bottle of wine and holy crap I am having a heck of a time
One last thing for PC users. When in the control menu, you need to continue to press down or scroll down, in order to see the invert vertical axis for your mouse. I think this is for the older generation such as myself that grew up with flight simulators, but I find it impossible to play without mouselook being inverted.
One final thing - the voice acting so far is absolutely fantastic. Fantastic. Oh and if you have a NVIDIA card with a GSYNC monitor, I found that GSYNC did not work unless I switched to fullscreen. Not Windowed Fullscreen.

I changed difficulty to Story Mode, the easiest. Their are 4 modes. I have only tried the 2 easiest. Jump from 2nd easiest Jedi Knight ( I think it's called) to easiest Story was not too big IMHO. Their is a "Boss" creature on first planet after tutorial area and it only killed me once before I killed it. I'm sure on next hardest mode it would have killed me multiple times before I would have won. Dodge/roll is a must it seems.
I'm of the same mindset as far as your last paragraph. I'm sure Story Mode would do just fine. Try it on the next higher one just to make comparisons though. I admit my controller play is atrocious. These DS type of games are usually not for me. I keep playing them but have never even come close to finishing them. Mainly because the difficulty settings are not easy enough. I hope this game is different.

Parrying and blocking try doing more of that instead of dodge rolling and you have an easier time in the harder modes.
