    > a new dimension to gameplay

Amazing. Now I'll be able to login, grab daily rewards and then logout 30 seconds later - all while having new succession skills! I wonder if the devs will ever add actual multiplayer PvE to the game? AFK fishing and 1-hit-kill mobs farm aren't that interesting.

You haven’t played any of the end game content then. Takes a lot more than one hit to kill the mobs.

I can normally understand the appeal of games that I don't like, but BDO is one that baffles me as to why anyone plays.

This will be fun for alts but my main im not changing from my awakening cause I like it more then the pre. but for lets say...Berserker I like pre more then that hand cannon crap cause...AXES...same as the Valk I never really liked the Lance compared to good ol sword & board. I can go thru each class and say what I like/don't like all day long but all in all im still waiting for more content to actually do anymore. they are slackin on the next content (Stars End was just a distraction for us cause the real content wasn't ready yet.) so here I wait. love the game tho-amazing combat for an mmo and the graphics are beautiful if you have the machine to handle it (I do) its not THE best video game ever made but hey its still ONE OF THE best video games ever made. (I don't believe the best video game ever made has been actually made yet :P )

This is like the second or third time they do some sort of update to the normal skills compared to their Awakened ones.

People who have spent thousands cannot just admit that they wasted so much money so they keep playing
I played since alpha, spent 3,000$+ on the game, and ran several very large guilds, and owned a BDO discord with several hundred people on it. Last week i had enough of all of it, sorta snapped, summarily disbanded the guild, delete the discord, these people, and this game was my life for almost 5 years, yet now i feel free, relieved even. It's not a joke, this game is dangerous, and what i saw it do to my friends worse. All of them surrendered any semblance of life outside of this game. Do not play, repeat, if you are thinking of trying this game don't. It's monetized sickness.

meh, I hardly spent any money but I'm nowhere competitive. It's a really beautiful world and I really love the combat.

If only BDO would revamp the P2W cash shop instead of bringing back skills for a vocal minority group of players.

God and I felt bad for spending over a $100 on cosmetics and turning my back on the game, now I don't feel so bad. Everytime I logged into that game and looked at the Pearl store it pissed me off. They even figured out a way to monetize daily log in junk because eventually you will just buy a bank space to keep all the loads of crap they dump on you.

Have you even played BDO? Even wildly overgeared you're not 1 shotting most high level mobs.

On topic I'm not sure how I feel about this. I like witch staff more than sphera, but since absolutes came out you can effectively weapon dance to weave them together in a fun fighting style. Staff only would have to be insanely good to give up awakening.

Gaming is my hobby and I spend money on it, doesn't bother me. I see people spend way more on their cars than what I spend on this game.

People seem to confuse "hobby" with "addiction" sadly.

I'm so glad that I finally quit this game after 3 years. Even before my wife and I quit the game I kept saying that no matter how you slice it this game is a hollow soul hidden behind a beautiful face.

No hate, will probably give their new titles a try. BDO was great the first two years.

Graphics and combat. BDO is shiny and the combat is fun but everything else is pretty awful. The RNG alone is the worst thing I've seen in any mmo but I could never fault the combat for its fluidity and satisfying feel.

he didn't mention end game, so he is not wrong. I'm lvl 50 right now and i've been killing mobs in one hit since lvl 1. End game is just a matter of perspective. I never do the typical "end game" in mmos. I hit end game, i roll an alt.

I remember when the game first came out, trash mobs were so bullet spongy everyone complained it took too long to kill simple trash mobs for lvl grinding. Now they die in 1 hit. It almost feels like PA doesn't know how to balance mob difficulty based on character + enemy lvl.

As for the succession skills, i'm looking forward to them. I love my Witch too much to change her awesome traditional spell casting for some random sphera awakening. PA should have given the spheras to the Sorceress.

RNG enchanting sucks in every mmo i've played that has it. Since I don't do PvP I just ignore enchanting completely because i gain nothing from min/maxing my character. If enchanting is as bad as people make it out to be then it only benefits dedicated PvPers. More reason for me to ignore the whole system.

I never played it because I despise, with all of my being, the idea of gender locked classes.

Screw your stupid game and its female only rangers.  I can't have a penis and shoot someone with a bow?  What a ridiculous game.

This justification is wild. Vehicles are expensive its always been that way.. Video games should not be.. If you are spending thousands on a single (god awful) video game its no longer a hobby. Pearl Abyss is a parasite and you got it bad.

You are basically playing in a casino disguised as a video game and coming in here saying its normal lol. Its okay though, cause other people spend more on their cars! Hahahah woooow

I had to walk away from BDO after dumping amost $3,000 in it since release.

I don't understand people who dump tons of money into a casino game. I've spent maybe $200 over 3.5 years on pets, outfits and some luxury items, but I can't talk myself into throwing tons of money at a rigged game. You might want to seek addiction counseling if you can't stop yourself from throwing excessive amounts of money at a video game.
