Going to buy EQ2. Need some advice!

After playing the trial, I was suitably impressed with EQ2. I am going to buy it, and I will play on the PvP RP server. I have some questions:
There is the game pluss 3 expansions out. That's a lot of money for a student like me, and I am confused if I really NEED 3 expansions as a newbie player.
Keep in mind that I do NOT in any way need high level content just yet, I just need access to the basic game, some of the better equipment(But not the really uber stuff from high end raids). Since I will be playing on the PvP server, High end content is nice, but not absolutely required. At least not yet!
I am looking for the best deal. If I buy Kingdom of sky, does it include EQ2 or is it just the expansion? If I buy the last expansion, do I get the whole bundle? Am I missing out on some features if I get just the plain EQ2 box? Or are expansions purely new zones with new gear in them?
Can I buy just a serial online? I allready have most of the game files on my PC due to the trial, My preferred option would be to just get a serial/account and start playing.
Hope someone can clear up my confusion

Kingdom of Sky does contain the full Everquest 2 game as well. I have heard that there are some versions with just the expansion, so make sure you read on the back of the cover if it includes it.
KoS would be the best thing to buy. The best argument I can give you is because without Kingdom of Sky you do NOT get to use the acheviment tree and action points you get once you pass lvl 20, and esp in PvP the little exstra these give you are pretty essensual to have.
Since you have the trail installed all you do is install KoS once you have bought it. Then you will need to update as well once that is installed. You dont have to uninstall the trail.
The expansion packs are really just added zones etc, and you dont really need to buy them all to play the game. KoS is really the only one SOE has given out that "Foreced" ppl to buy it because of the achivement points only availabul with it.
The 3rd expansion is not out yet, the others are called "Adventure packs" and are minizones with new quests etc. Not very important to have, but its nice to have the option to buy it if you are bored and want something new to do.
I dont think there is a serial to buy online. At least I did not find it when I bought the game a little while back.

Get yourself into a decent sized active guild. Dont be like many people on this forum who have played the game and moan or comment that theres not much content and/or so bored of whatever.
Ive got some high level char's, and i sometimes alt - i have a lvl58 Guardian (now he is high level, sigh lol), and im a really awesome tank! Im in a average-big sized guild and have many friends which i usually get invited and even pestered to log onto my Guardian alt. They know that i wont let them die, because i know whats round every corner and well... i just know how to tank very well and have great awareness of my surroundings.
Quite often my group invites random people, such as from the LFG tool. Those people get to the group and we start hunting and whatever. Literally every person that ive tanked for has had a really fun time, or just said that the XP has been truely awesome, best group theyve ever ever been in, etc.
Its times like this that make me feel really happy about playing this game, its like constant success and fun all round for everyone (for me, helping newbies out, showing them better content, or showing them how groups can really rock in this game). In a good group you fly through the levels mega fast - faster than id like to in a way. Not to sound like im bigging myself up (which i guess i am :P ) but XP'ing in this game is just SOOO easy!!
I keep reading on this forum how XP is soo hard to get and they are bored (at and below lvl20s) - due to them soloing. All i can say is - dont bother playing this game. XP starts to really slow down at around lvl40, and is hardest to get after lvl55ish.
Yeah get the KoS pack, i got mine cheap, £13 Desert of Flame you could wait to get that untill lvl 40. or 45 actually.
I got my game cheaper on net from a danish store, got the DoF for £9 so all in all £22 for game and the 2 expansions
