    Agreed.  They would have probably gotten much better publicity...and more money if they did something like a retexture of that whole dog backpack to have baby yoda inside of it instead.

    It's gonna be a huge piece of trash just like the other Star Wars movies made by Disney. The story ended with Episode 6 and continues in the Expanded Universe, most notably in the books of author Timothy Zahn the "Thrawn" trilogy and "The Hand of Thrawn" duology.



    You need to read some of the new books since Disney took over. They are pretty awesome. New Thrawn books too. It's just a Political Correctness nightmare on the big screen. Though I thought Rogue One was pretty great.

    Solo had no reason to exist and though I thought it was better then it had every right to be it will still pretty bad. Again I think I only see it get the love it does online because it wasn't as bad as it should have been. 

    The Mandalorian is the best the series has been since 5 in live action form of course

    The Clone Wars animated series is god tier

    I like Star Wars but without the EU and the books that are still being published I just don't get the love that SW gets. To me the series has been hit or miss and nothing in 7 or 8 was as bad as anything in 1-2 IMO. Which were so bad that when I went to school to learn how to write screenplay's and teleplays they showed episode 2 as an example of what not to do when writing a screenplay.

    I pretty much agree with you. I still say IV was the best just because it started it all. VI I hold in high regards because it was the first movie I saw in the theater. The whole sarlac scene and what not I thought my eye balls were going to pop out of my head. It left a lasting impression as a kid.

    EP II was the worst IMO,EP III was pretty good, EP 1 could not stand the CGI and it pretty much ruined it for me.

    I enjoyed VII and VIII, but they were just meh and rebrands of IV and V. I will definitely watch VIX just to see how it "ends."

    Rogue one was solid and I have no desire to see solo, but I will watch it one day just because. So far I am enjoying the Mandalorian and will also be joining the fortnite event. Even if you hate Star Wars and/or Fortnite you should appreciate the effort to bring things like this together. I think one of the coolest things was the Predator event in Ghost Recon Wildlands. I wish more games would do these kind of things.

    I believe it's simply about their target demographic, which is more the Fortnite players than anything else.
    Remember, JJ was the same dude who said about his Trek movie: it ain't for the Star Trek fans. Loved his artistic (-> profit) view on the subject when he said "if we made this movie for them alone, we would be limiting our audience like crazy."

    Most likely it will be a profitable cross-promotion for both sides. Who knows, maybe they will add some cartoonish lens flare effects in Fortnite next...

    You guys are such snobs. They were all fine with the exception of the last George Lucas films (whatever numbers they are).

    Some of you have taken what was an exciting space yarn (and certainly ground breaking at the time) and made a religion out of it.

    And the Mandelorian is no better or worse than any of the recent movies. Now I know people are just being picky. And Solo was a fine yet unnecessary addition to the series which only suffered because it didn't have Harrison Ford in it as he pretty much made the part. 

    Doesn't mean it wasn't a fun movie.

    Empire Strikes Back will always be my favorite simply because of the Dagobah scenes. Mandalorian has been really good so far too. Will get through The Clone Wars cartoons soon hopefully.
