Nothing yet, but it is something I'm asking PR about. Website though, as of now, only says Canada and USA.

Some video game endings stick with you. As a kid my mind was blown when I got to the end of the Phantasy Star RPG game and the big bad guys who were trying to take over the planet were what was left of the earthlings, after they had messed up Earth. They were trying to find a new home. I will give this a shoot =-)

Little interesting this will be cross play, with Xbox and Android... and IOS?

Might try if they not gonna region lock it. Won't play it regulary on NA servers from EU though. Not worth it, because you are always disadvantaged due high ping.

I'll give it a shot. I remember going to a friends house when I lived in PA and playing Phantasy Star Online on the Dreamcast and having a lot of fun
PSO on dreamcast was awesome, and then PSOBB on PC, PSU... I've been a big fan of the phantasy star series, so I'm excited to play it.

    Good times.

its actually a very boring linear game, i played the japanese version with an english patch and i stopped playing after 2 weeks in everything feels the same the only good game in this franchise was the ps2/psp version of phantasy star universe.

My roomate and I were playing this back in late 2012/early 2013 before I even moved out of my parents. Almost been 7 years since I moved out now. Can't believe they're only just now releasing in the west.

I am a little disappointed it took so long.  I could have played it at any point, but the issue is, I couldn't play comfortably with my friends so I just waited until it finally hit the western market. I guess we'll see how it goes, but I'm still excited to play it.

I played on the JP servers a bit, and had so much fun with the special events. The concerts were amazing. I really hope those come with it.

Boggles was playing this like 2 years ago or more on the Asian server, this took forever to transition.

I think that's what most of us are thinking. I honestly believe this game is going to blow up when it comes to the PS4 & Switch. This is a very Japanese game, in a good way, and fans of Japanese devs usually play on Sony or Nintendo's console. Too many dude-bros on the Microsoft consoles. Thankfully since the game is rather old even PCs with integrated GPUs can run the game in 2019.

The only reason I could see that is because you've already invested a lot of time/money on the JP version. Other than that there is not reason not to. You'll be able to play with people that speak the same language as yourself, not just one one server like the JP version. You can play with RL friends. You can read the story text, not the fan translated attempt that is out right now for the JP servers. And you get the same content as the JP version, because the SEA version was missing a lot of content so I understand why even though it was in English, it was a inferior to the JP version.

I can see Microsoft making it all about Xbox though Watch out for another bad PC port from Microsoft with this. A PC game that PC gamers have wanted for years and Microsoft making it about Xbox sounds right.

the game is PS4 console exclusive in Japan, so i suspect the western exclusivity on XB is for a limited time. It will eventually release on PC and PS4, maybe even the Switch. In fact, the game is so old i'm sure it would run very well on the Switch.

Its already on PS4 in Japan. This is just a timed exclusive for Xbox in the West. It is being released here on Windows 10 as well...as the article states.

and also take note asians server was on pc too, not only PS4

I personally invested quite a bit of time in the JP ver. I don't mind starting over but I don't think I'll do so easily if I have to give up my collection of cosmetics lol It's been a couple years now but I still remember grinding for my Archer cosmetics from the Fate/Stay collab.
