Information is only good if it bears fruit that can be actually used. What good is picking fruit if you're the only one that can consume it? These streams would be more useful if they were actually showing stuff in the live world while they did it, aka actually playing while they talked.
Say what you want about Pantheon but at least they have a world they've been showing off as well improved made along the way in real time, vs just talking about it all the damn time. Hell, so does Crowfall and Star Citizen.
For all we know, the junk the Ashes team supposedly could be working on could just be in the BR. Its not that hard through animals and junk into a big open space and calling it part of the mmorpg, especially since the BR just looks like it was hacked from the 'mmorpg world.'
Why are you posting summary troll videos ? This is becoming an epic problem with this website. I don't come here to listen to what people "think" in subjective terms, I come here for objective information, the same kind of information that has been post for over 10 years. THe new editor in chief is terrible, I just going to say it now. The choices in the past months have been horrendous in what content is being posted here.
Changes need to be made, and it starts at the top. How this kind of video is deemed worthy and pushed mmorpg article is sickening.
I do agree linking a summary video from a fan is quite humorous and disgusting. Half the stuff being posted over the past few months is not even news worthy, or just click bait.
I dont care for Ashes. Not interested. But, for those who are, I am sure this video was enjoyable. Its information regarding a game. Be it less information then some of you deem worthy, its information all the same. This site covers MMO information, which this game is claiming to become (I say claiming because I have read the arguments about the BR and all that).
If you dont like it, just dont read or watch it. Not hurting you any, as long as they still post about the games you enjoy or follow.
I do agree that while a dev stream video is the sort of thing I would expect to see a fan "summary" is not. I think the new editors are taking elements from social media which are fine there, which do not always work here. But we are only talking about a choice of link, that is all. What is written about the video above seems to come from the dev stream not the fan and that's all I would look at to be honest.
Isn't the summary video by one of the community members here who has been keeping track of Ashes development and posting about it all along: @jahlon ?
Whether that's a plus or minus for posting the summary video in a news item here is up to each person I guess, but they do also (try) to link to the full stream in the article. All the information is available in the article (more conveniently so if the link will get fixed) so seems a bit nitpicky to bitch about this.

Hes community member just to promote his videos and get subs and views -.-
I'm pretty generous with criticism, normally, but this seems harmless? It's just them saying hey here's a summary of a Dev stream if it interests you. Some folks might like it? Those that dislike the title can easily avoid it. I feel like I am missing why this is bad.
EQ1, EQ2, SWG, SWTOR, GW, GW2 CoH, CoV, FFXI, WoW, CO, War,TSW and a slew of free trials and beta tests
They lost site of PVE, people want PVE CONTENT, not adjust siege mechanics pvp crap!
Ashes of Creation is going to be a player driven world, so that of course will include PvP. The PvE part is infinaitely easier to develop, then getting both their action combat ready to be blended with tab, as well as getting good siege mechanics.
You will see a more well rounded MMORPG experience in Alpha 1. Right now they are doing testing via APOC.
With that said, yes Intrepid has horribly fumbled and bumbled the naming convention of APOC as well as trying to monetize a testing environment. There is no legimate way to wash that away.

I actually stopped linking my Ashes Content here for a while, since I don't have anything really newsworth to talk about.
I figured after the 4th straight videos of having to do a Too Long; Didn't Watch that starts with No Dates, I better hold off posting anything until there are some dates.

The dev stream link is in the article.
Indeed I just don't think the "summary" link should be. I find the use of that word rather odd to, what was written in the article is a summary, a fans take on what was said is not a summary.
