I would like to add Atlas to my list, its not a mmo per say but could be an awesome mmo if they got rid of the hardcore survival stuff and added npc towns, quests etc.
I also I don't want any other "remade" games. This plague of remakes and remasters is nothing more than a smoke screen trying to cover over an almost complete lack of original ideas or talent in the gaming industry.

"Maybe."
The problem is that video games don't really age well. On top of that, older games can have difficulties on newer operating systems.
Updating a game means they can be played and appreciated by modern audiences.
I won't say that new games shouldn't be made because "of course they should." However, as someone who plays older games I have noted how older games look more like they are "slapped together" with string.
I've been playing a LOT of Vampire the Masquerade lately (and some Two Worlds II) And it could use a new touch of paint.
The game play definitely holds up as do the faces (great job on that on the part of the developers) but at times it has a Half Life feel (and I believe it came out when Half Life 2 came out ...)

Ofc it's Lineage 2. When you think about it, it's one of the best mmo's ever made. in terms of systems, features. the fun of pvp. best pvp experience ever made because its so political and it matters actually. the world matters because there are basically no instanced dungeons, bosses. everything is open world. raid bosses and dungeons are made for everybody so you fight for the better place in the world. and also there is no soulbound shit bind on equip shit. so thats why it's pure social mmo.
Too bad it was ruined by horrible manegment by ncsoft. terrible terrible terrible business model. had absolutely no balls to ban botters. it's such a shame ncsoft killed the game. and private servers..... how could they let it happen it's beyond imagination. but the thing is some private servers used to be better than retail.
I just gave up on my recent attempt with Ryzom. It's got some good ideas, but falls down on basic UI issues. Quests to dig special mats are horrific -- there are no clues to where many of these may be found, especially once you leave the newbie island. Even the main spoiler site (Ryzom database) is woefully inaccurate. While the possibility exists for a specialist character, almost all characters are jack-of-all trades. Even the quests are focused on everyone doing everything. If I'm supposed to be a tank, I don't want the healer to be better at tanking. That's just not for me.

1. Anarchy Online (one of the best ever!)
2. Dark age of Camelot (perfect PvP and WvW)
3. Horizons (awesome quests and exploration)
4. Asherons Call 2 (depth, quests, class system)
5. City of Heroes (OMG everything !!)
6. Everyquest 1 as 2020 version.
7. Vanguard 2020 (wonderful game, awesome classes, worst DEV team...)
8. Least but great Warhammer Online 2020 !
