You know since the actual video claimed it was pre-alpha footage and said nothing of it being a marketing ploy and not the actual game in development.

There needs to be heavy sanctions against this kind of activity and class action lawsuits fraud charges for things like these. No game and they are selling virtual items. I was hyped at first for CoE with it's political side and non hero game play, but it reeks of scam and I think Caspien is seen the success in star citizen. We have like 5 mmorpgs in public known development but all of them are crowdfunded 5+ years from release turds that try and peddle virtual items. Its gotten beyond ridiculous.

I would have written this off for dead quite some time ago yet Caspian continues to impress me in his abilty to keep the funding rolling on in.
I actually want to see this game made, so keep following hoping one day to see something, anything which shows significant progress to a finished release.
But if not, it provides great drama in the meantime.

I'm just waiting for the moment when the reality switch is flipped and the rest of the CoE community see's SBS (More specifically Caspien) for what they are. @Kyleran and @Slapshot1188 shall be reporting on it minutes within it happening and I am excited to see that penny drop.

You obviously haven't been around from the start, pre kickstarter those videos were sold as the game development to date. Thst was supposed to be what we were getting and how well they were doing.
Post kickstarter the jousting was revealed, to show off different in game functions (not mounted combat though, we still aren't getting that, but hey we get a glowing pinecone).
If I knew they would regrets this much I would have stuck at bloodline instead of baron...

I hope it does come out, CoE as described sounds like a good game. Development however leads me to think it wont come out. Just like with SC, I hope I am wrong because it is a game I would like to play. Its hard to support a game that has "almost" nothing to show but puts forth a lot of effort selling pretend goods. Im not a supporter of cash shops in general let alone shops for games that are not even in alpha yet.
