Also an unsubstantiated rumor cropped up on reddit about his job history which if true isn't confidence building.
Fwiw i asked the poster of said rumour why they think Ash was let go by CSE, last night, and haven't received a reply. "let go" here is distinct from "left", "quit," "contract expired" - I realize he's not at CSE and is at SBS.
Again the reason I wasn't more specific is the comment is unsubstantiated and isn't likely to ever be.
Ash and CSE may also just have parted ways when they realized CU is further from launch then they first thought, ie they didnt need his particular producer skills yet and would've been paying more money than was worth it.
Which raises the question why SBS hired him when they're behind CU.
My speculation is that it may be handy to have someone like Ash at the earlier and later stages of a project - earlier to whip things into shape and create good workflow, and toward the end to get all the pieces into place to make a game come together.
All this to say, Ash getting picked up by SBS and leaving CSE may not reflect badly on any of them (notwithstanding that both games are mad late).
