Its actually a very very deep system game, probably the most complex out there at the moment. But you really need to put on your rose colored glasses when it comes to overall visuals / artwork and performance.  You can throw as much hardware at this game as you want, i9 9900k, MSI RTX 2080ti, SSD, monster ram, <-- my rig, and your still going to find areas of the game where your getting crippling FPS.  I played for months because the systems are so good, but ultimately it was the graphics and performance that did me in, it just keep pulling me out of the game.

I think its a UNITY game so you pretty much would have to write your own rendering pipeline, lighting system, shader system, culling method, everything to get it to perform like a purpose built engine, or just use Unreal out of the box and get all that.  Still baffles me why developers use Unity for anything more complex then side scrollers or top down RPG's.

I love Everquest and have played it quite recently on P99. Graphics are never a problem for me, performance though might be a bad thing.

I tried it a few times when it was free, it just didn't hold my attention very long.....It was too small and I didnt like the way you had to sell stuff....only certain vendors would buy certain items and it was a major pain after a few times having to run around constantly looking for the correct vendor. I also didn't like the click a crab fishing.

Just some typical video idiot, but at least you got some idea of the MMO between the inane ramblings. I already knew it has depth but is unfinished so not for me right now.

It's a well built game for sure even if it is fugly. I think that may be why people can't get on board with it. If it looked like BDO and had these systems I imagine it would be pretty popular.

If you want to play it just know that the purchase price is going towards funding an extremely small dev team (2 people still I believe) and not a 100% polished and finished game. I personally didn't play it for that long but didn't regret spending the money because I support what these folks are doing. Some people absolutely love the game though.

I would spend the money on it but have not yet.  I just don't have the time.    I played it once and found it very interesting.  I liked the systems.  What I read that kept me from playing is that there are long gaps between new content and the population drops very low in between.  Not a big deal. . maybe someone can verify. . maybe when I retire I will play :)

Far from the best but it is indeed a very good game, with hundreds of hours of fun. Nothing to lose if you try for free.

No fate but what we make, so make me a ham sandwich please.

I got very immersed in the game for a month or so.  There's a lot to work on as far as developing your character's skills.  The problem for me was, after a while, everything turned into a huge grind without much to look forward to after the grind was over.  If you like grinds, though, and are more focused on the journey than the destination in MMOs, you'll probably love the game.

It does have a low population, but the players tend to be very dedicated and helpful.  There's constant chatter on global chat.

It's a great game for those of us who like old school games with interesting mechanics and depth.
Also nice and relaxing. I've spent many many happy hours in this game.

This game wont be for everyone. First if you need top of the line eye candy graphics its not for you. If you need to be hand held an pointed down a path constantly its not for you. But....

If you want to make a character any way you want this is the one. Want to sling a sword and be a priest, or use archery and necromancer or or or. there are 18 or so combat skills and better then a dozen beast skills, oh ya want to place as a cow(great tanks), a giant bat(fly) a wolf, spider, rabbit ....the  are more you can. mix and match skills from different skill sets or trees.  You can make the character your way. The character does not level that's right no character level. the skill level and will determine when you hunt or go so I have a Sword/mentalist with a 55/52 level on them 12 archer/10 animal handler (think sorta like a wow hunter) all on same character. you get load outs as they are called every so often. So you set one up with say sword/mentalist with all weapons armor spell bars etc. Then the next as say firemage/duid and a push of a button everything changes to the new load out 0nly restriction cant change in combat... I have 5 load outs on my main char instead of 5 alts. Combat skills and such go to level 80

I wont even go in to the 40 or so crafting skills or the 40  plus other skills. Check it out if  you want some thing different.

All in all this is the most interesting fun game I have played since Asherons Call (oh the 2 primary Devs are from AC)
