    Dynamic Missions System

--> there was a very good presentation from Tony Zurovec at the last SC gathering about this (also on YouTube)

    Cutlass Blue

--> "Freeze!" Police in SC ;-)

Multicrew – Expanded Turret Gunner Role

--> Maybe i can even hit something with a turret now ;-)

    Door System Improvements

--> I know that some people here have their issues with SC doors ;-) I guess you will die less from doors now. It never happened to me in the last 2 years, but hey - maybe doors hate you !

You Realise that the things you mention are -removed- from the roadmap, as in -not- being in the game or in priority development.
They might or might not ever be worked on again but are atleast for now removed from the development time frame road map.

People need to stop feeding this company so that they release it in early release form or the workers will just keep feeding on your money, for another 10+ years.

    Honestly, I'm not sure.

Seems a bit insulting to 'Duke nukem forever'

    Yes, i realize that.

People could read the patch notes ... these points just wait for new target dates to be set, at which point they will be added to the roadmap again e.g.
"...Work on this card has been transferred to a different team, resulting in the removal from the roadmap until the team determines where it will best fit in their priorities and a new target date is decided upon..."

As the doors are an insider joke amongst the critics ... "getting worse every patch, doors killing people" ... if CIG STOPs working on fixing the doors, LESS people will die ;-)

Turrets --> "This task-set (epic) is outdated " ... so my free targetting hits better than following the targetting reticule displayed by the turret under the old system. I will hit more.

Cutlass Blue --> as it is on hold, i called "Freeze !"

Dynamic Mission system --> just a comment that i like what Zurovec showed.

You don't need to believe or disbelieve.

You look at how they have performed against their roadmap to date. If you do you conclude that a) they are not perfect but b) they are not that bad that you should dismiss it out of hand.

This is not e.g. June: its releasing at the end of 2019; October: its releasing at the end of 2019; Nov: OK its probably going to be 2021.

And as for them moving milestones out, moving milestones in we have no idea what that means.

What we have seen - in the past - is that the milestones don't have the same "weight". So taking 10 milestones out might be the equivalent of removing 10 jelly beans from a sweet jar whilst the one addition could be the equivalent of 100 jelly babies.

So whilst I suspect they might be pushing resource onto SQ42 I don't know.

Are you a crowdfunding backer of Star Citizen?

    I am.

I have been playing it for years now in the Alpha version. And enjoying it.

Are one of those changes the developer working on the game? If not, then I guess it will remain in "coming soon" status for another ten years, or more.

What’s the difference between SC alpha and  recent mmos releases?

Well you are welcome to guess.

Me I look at what say they aim to deliver and what they actually deliver.

And - this is the fun part - backers can try out the results. Means they can't hide. They can't say they have done something when they haven't. Non-backers get to try out stuff as well during free-fly events.

And people can - and clearly are - making up there own mind and are concluding that there is "a game" in the making. So no need to listen to what I think - or to your guesses.

Are people still playing this? It seemed slow-paced and eye candy only tome.

Much faster action in STO that's years old for ship fighting fly to the PVP zone :)

For more exciting gameplay try SpaceBorn.

One guy alone coding, designing, producing a game that doesn't take 20 years with millions of investors. If they game him a 12th of what they have given SC He would produce something bigger than WOW.

What’s the difference between SC alpha and  recent mmos releases?
    1) Released MMOs are usually complete games. They've got plenty of content and complete gameplay loops. With Star Citizen you're playing alpha that is still light on content, and many of the gameplay loops are incomplete

    2) SC alpha is not an MMO. They might get to MMO stage eventually, but so far it's just a server with 50 people.

    2. Makes sense... But 1. Lol. "usually" is being generous.

You know that they can't hide their work and there's no need to guess, and your best guess is that they're putting in a lot of work that's hidden?

No guesses from me about what state SC is in that was the previous poster. And as you acknowledge they are not hiding what has / has not been done on SC. Why I said to the poster I responded to: people can try what is there and make up their own mind.

Nor did I make a "best guess" about them pushing resource onto SQ42. I would call it common sense. At least its obvious to me.

    - They have provided a target for SQ42's beta.
    - Some SQ42 stuff is late.

And if I was running things then - to the extent that it was possible - I would:
    - shift people working on SC only onto stuff needed for both SC & SQ42 or SQ42 only.
    - potentially resulting in some SC stuff slipping or being moved out.

So as I said not a "best guess" just a "common sense" take on it. (And standard PM).
