    Just because rumors in the gaming industry have a history of being true sometimes; doesn't mean all rumors should be treated as fact. Not saying what is presented here is false, but I would advise people to take it with a grain of salt until they are confirmed. Treating any rumor as fact, regardless if they are good or bad can cause damage to a company.

    I was kidding on the rumor thing. Rumors are what they are. But often they are fun. Or interesting.

    In most RPGs, what is one of the first things you do? Go to a bar and listen to rumors.

    Just release it on PC and worry about consoles later like everyone else..

    i doubt that's the reason. The game has been in development for years, and suddenly a delay a few months before launching is because of old hardware? makes little sense.

    Also the Witcher 3 on Switch says hi!

    EDIT: that being said, if it is true then Just release on PC and keep working on the console version for next gen (so it works on both generations). I'm OK with that, i'll still buy both versions (console and PC).

    Yes the assumption it could be any old thing is true but it DOES matter to some.So you want to support a developer who is trying to be deceptive or lie to you?
    I could make many assumptions to th ereal reason,no i don't really care but if i feel a developer is trying to lie to us or avoid the truth,why on earth would i want to support scum like that?
    NOBODY needs to support a scummy developer,doesn't matter how good the game will be.

    So the word around town is that THEY claimed they wanted more time to polish,the rumor is that it simply runs poorly.So if rumor is true,they are just lying to us.

    Unfortunately the reverse is what normally happens, consoles come before PC's and increasingly smartphones are coming before consoles.

    When it comes to gaming or other news on the Internet I often have to check 5 or more different sources and do a Snopes search to verify if a story is actually true, as recently happened when I first read of Brad McQuaids passing.

    i dont think you guiys got the point, they aren't trying to run it on current consoles, they are waiting for the next gen, so they can have some real power to work with

    So, they’ve been working on this game for god knows how many years, and then a few months out they are delaying it for consoles that aren’t even out yet?

    If they are delaying the PC release because Sony or Microsoft paid them to delay until next gen console launch so they could sell more consoles, I'm not going to buy the game. Same goes for Dying Light 2. Two games I'm very excited for, but if that is the reason, then they get no money from me. They both got delayed almost at the same time.

    Now, if they're really delaying because unfinished/need polish or whatever they really need time for, I'm all for it. Make the game amazing and then I will buy those games.

    Could be, there definitely been talk of the game not running great on PS4 or xbox One...personally I would rather it be delayed to be ported to the next gen console rather than see them do a crappy graphical downgrade for all  ports just to make it work good on current gen consoles....

    Fudge consoles I say.... :D

    What else is new consoles has been ruining gaming for years, nothing new to see here. Consoles brought gaming to casuals which then caused the games to be dumbed down and made super easy to get casuals to play them, and it just snowballed from there out of control. We get rare execeptions like dark souls, but they are few and far between.

    Being a pessimist is a win-win pattern of thinking. If you're a pessimist (I'll admit that I am!) you're either:

    A. Proven right (if something bad happens)

    or

    B. Pleasantly surprised (if something good happens)

    Either way, you can't lose! Try it out sometime!
