Grabbed it on Epic. It's definitely a backlog-type game for me, though...who knows when I'll try it. The Division 2 is only $3 right now on all platforms, too.

Nice- I've been forgetting about the Epic store free games for awhile (probably missed some decent games) so thanks for the reminder because this is a game I'm interested in playing- But not really enough to purchase because I already have a backlog of games I'm trying to catch up on.

In fact, I'm going to take this opportunity to promote 2 games that are amazing and being made by amazing dev teams (something that rarely happens these days)- If 3rd worlders can spam ads for Hookers and crypto, this should be fine...

A.T.O.M.- Playing this now and gad damn- Its sucked me in... This is the 'real' Fallout 3 that always should have been... Its made by Russians (I know...) but recently was patched up and translated by one of the writers who worked on 'Age Of Decadence' and its phenomenal. Best RPG I've played in a long time.

The dev team released this game from EA almost a year ago and have continued to improve it and even released a free expansion of sorts (Dead city)- Great game and great dev team.

Stellar Tactics- More turn based goodness. Think the Tabletop game 'Traveler' from the 80's in a giant open world CRPG. Its in EA and made by a single developer but this guy has been steadily updating this for years and its better than 90% of the RPG's out there in its current form. Right now its a giant open world sandbox (once you get through the admittedly 'waaaay too long' tutorial) - Once through the tutorial you enter a massive sandbox universe to play in.

Its a party based dungeon crawler, mixed with spaceship exploration- Mine , trade, upgrade your ship, have space battles in 'real time', board and capture enemy ships, or explore derelict space stations on foot in 'turn based style, craft, upgrade ships and equiptment and do just about everything you want...

This game deserves more exposure and while its still in EA, all its missing is the story mode but the gameplay loop is solid as fuck and the developer is amazing.

    https://store.steampowered.com/app/465490/Stellar_Tactics/

-Old school CRPG fans need to grab these as well and these developers deserve some major props for not being scumbags... A rarity these days.

I have ATOM and Stellar Tactics...played a bit of both and found them to be very entertaining. My husband and I are stockpiling single-player games for when we begin our (2nd) boycott of MMOs later on this year.

Discounted on GOG too, looks like everyone wants deliverance :)

I've had the game for awhile myself  and though I don't really like games that are in "first person" it was not overly distracting for me. The big plus side of it is  that there are many mods available for it.

    Same.
I get the free games from Epic, but I buy the games from Steam.

People can say what they want, but Steam have the best sales of any platform, including physical shops.
You just need to wait the right time.

I enjoyed this game. The developers seemed to go to great lengths to make the game feel authentic. World looks very pretty.

I know some people were put off by the savegame mechanic, requiring either using a potion or sleeping, but with a fast horse and the abundance of inns I didn't find I needed to use the save game potion at all.

I found the lockpicking mechanic problematic I needed a mod to show me lock revolutions. I found doing it by eye extremely tough despite vast experience at skyrim lockpicking.

Hey, I would like to buy from Epic, but they never offer anything interesting on sale.
The best games are always full price, unlike Steam which start offering discounts 6 months after a game release.

Even though their 12% commission is much lower the 33% of Steam, they seem very stingy with their discounts.

    Edit: I spoke too soon.
It looks like they are offering Outer World at 50% discount.
This could be my first buy on the Epic Store.

  • lahnmirlahnmir Member LegendaryPosts: 5,050
Just bought The Outer Worlds for 19.99, I could still use the 10 bucks coupon from their last sale. I am really surprised people say the EGS doesn’t have good sales, they have insane sales, just less frequently.

'This does not apply just to ED but SC or any other game. What they will get is Rebirth/X4, likely prettier but equally underwhelming and pointless.

It is incredibly difficult to design some meaningfull leg content that would fit a space ship game - simply because it is not a leg game.

It is just huge resource waste....'

Kingdom Come seems to be a very hit or miss game.
Personally, I loved it. Its a huge game with so many things to do. Very immersive and has a lot of realistic elements.

My only problem with it, were the bugs. Besides that its a great rpg with a learning curve (learning the combat) I suggest looking through some of the mods that are currently out for it to see if any of them may improve your experience.

A master of perception you must be, my good Sir-  I'm not sure if you're stating the obvious or asking an actual question- But Yes, thats pretty much what I did.
