So, follow the link and then go on steam etc... then they ask you to do their tweet crap... and after you do it, nothing. They don’t recognise the task as completed... despite the fact the tweet is preworded by them and you just click on their link. This is either a scam or just poorly set up.

It's called multi marketing, the whole world is infested by it.Sure marketing helps but to me helping so many bad games make it is not something i want to endorse.
The way i look at it,is if your game is any good,a marketing firm doesn't need to step in and influence or coerce people, your game will sell itself.
This is not just a giveaway,it is a business deal.It is not much different than how devs get websites and reviewers on board, invite them over, wine n dine them, maybe send some business their way,all for favorable reviews.
We need to quit with all this BUSINESS functions blemishing games,we need to just see good game and let the quality sell them.
I am happy above user is not addicted to all the crap like ev1 else,i do not use FB or Twitter either.I was on FB in the early years but soon realized what it was all about and struggled for a while to get my account "sort of" erased.
There is soooo much cross profiling within these marketing circles i was getting some personal information on people from work, like their emails and passwords to those email accounts. There is so much going on behind the lines we will never truly know the entire scam that marketing and tracking is.
I still to this day have no idea how the governments have not outlawed tracking, privacy should be 100% enforced but after the whole Snowden ordeal,i guess we know not to trust the governments either.
Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.
Did the whole thing and got two Pioneer founder full game packs, one for my son and one for moi.
Dunno what the social media revolt thing is as it's super easy to make accounts for all those mediums using pseudonym and bs info.
For the joining discord thing if you run into problems...on the gleam contest page hit edit next to the media icons and remove the discord widget.
Make sure you don't have pop ups disabled on your browser, or ad blockers Uorigin etc stopping the pop ups, and redo the discord step and you should get a pop up asking to authorize gleam on discord and it should work.
Brenics ~ Just to point out I do believe Chris Roberts is going down as the man who cheated backers and took down crowdfunding for gaming.
NOTE: There are 5,000 full retail keys, and 5,000 beta keys, given away at random upon completion of the tasks. Good luck!
This way, even if you don't get a full game code, at least you have betas to play during the Social Distancing!
It's PvP though so I won't be participating. I would have been okay if they had a PvE server. Might as well let someone who is interested have the chance.

No fate but what we make, so make me a ham sandwich please.
