Awesome; I am very glad to hear BC is coming. With Soros a major investor/owner of Blizzard now I don't see them backing off their CCP loving ways so I probably won't be able to play myself. But it is great knowing one of the greatest mmorpg expansions ever will be available if Blizzard course corrects.

This is great News. Classic is nice, but BC is Classic +++, since it fixes lots of "bugs" from Classic and having a lot more content to do.

    Bring it on!

Yeah, I wouldn't mind trying out tbc classic. Blood elves and flight, what more could you ask for?

Seems to me that Blizzard is doing everything it can to maintain their subscriber base.  People are going to tire of the basic classic servers eventually.  Seems really stupid to me not to make the eventual move to BC for all classic servers.  It still is the best expansion.

I never saw this question. Wish I had. Would have loved to vote in it.

    Oh well I guess.

I cancelled my subscription and deleted my Blizzard account back in October due to the Blitzchung scandal and then Blizzard delievered once again with the trash Warcraft 3 remaster so I'm not regretting it one bit.

I hope they aren't that big of imbeciles as to scrap Classic for the sake of TBC and later scrap TBC for the sake of WoTLK, hopefully, they will allow people that want to play Classic and Classic alone to be able to do so until the end of time.

I'm disappointed that they didn't take Classic more seriously and go down the road of adding more content, but at this point I'm not surprised as those imbeciles are no longer the old Blizzard that were gamers making games for other gamers, now they are just a bunch of suits looking at charts who probably don't even know the rules of Tetris if you asked them.

Maybe it fixes some things, but from a certain fantasy-purist perspective it's the beginning of the crap as it adds Barbie to the race roster of the Horde, which are huge, ugly beasts and some ridiculous blue space goats to the Alliance and the main focus of the content of the expansion is going into space onto the fragments of another planet... THAT IS SOOO FANTASY I ALMOST BUSTED A NUT... xD

My favourite WoW expansion. The atmosphere in each zone was just incredible.

I wouldn't be surprised if in the end Activision relaunched all the expansions one by one and players could jump in to any of them as they wish, to relive their favourite moments the way they were originally designed.

It would help keep high number of players, even if the retail continues to suck. Definitely something that risk-averse publishers like Activision would love to have in place.

I could also see this being their argument to slightly increase the monthly sub after a few of the past expansions are re-released. Or to keep the retail one as it is and add a 'WoW Timewalking' sub option for some 5-6 bucks per month. They can't justify it yet with only Classic out, but once they have the critical mass of nostalgia in place, they might go that way.

Can't believe people actually fall for this, what's next? A Pandarian expansion where you have the option to go back to classic, or back to BC, or move on to a classic where all expansions will be released... (why not play regular wow then?)
On top of that you will have to pay 20$ to do said transfers, AND have an active regular WoW subscription? Are people really THAT stuck in the past?

I would think the best option would be to let folks just copy their character to a mirrored server with TBC.  That way those that aren't interested in TBC could just stay.  Though not sure how long classic servers will survive after Naxx releases.  I'm sure Blizz will just wait and watch pop numbers. Classic is only 7 months old, so we got awhile before TBC classic is out.

What a massive missed opportunity to take the game in a more interesting direction.

Personally I don't care if they keep it Vanilla forever or move on, but I hoped perhaps they'd move on a different path than TBC.

As example, after Vanilla it's Emerald Dream, not Outland. That would be a big thing for those like me who feel they don't need to re-live this vanilla moment.

Also gotta say, some care way, way too much and get very angry at a video game company politics.

If one gets so mad about those - I hope they don't listen or read any news outlet in the world right now.
