Yes it is. Not sure I would run out and pay $50 for it but I already had it, loaded it up and liked it enough to spring for the Fallout 1st sub for a month.

Personally for me it has been worth playing since launch day. The ridiculous bashing of how bad it is, was unfortunately over blown. What bugs me is people at work and even my own teenage boys refuse to play it based purely on internet feedback. They go on about how horrible the game is and when i ask did you play it it's been 100% no, then how do you know it's that bad?

- an empty shell of Fallout 4 and still as bugged.
- specifically designed to make as much money as possible through the subscription (why is this even a thing ? ), ingame shop and merchandise.
- brought to you by a company with a track record of lying to their fan base.
But it is nice that they managed to get the game improved from horrible to mediocre.
This game is riding on the current rage of mediocre multiplayer survival games. Where somehow some people get easily fooled by thinking it is a great game because they have fun with friends. The moment you take away multiplayer, they would see how shallow those games are. I mean, you could call Discord a fun game with friends.
Conan Exiles, Ark, Fallout 76 are all bad unoptimised games with low amount of content.
They are not more impressive in features then vanilla Minecraft, just way buggier with more expensive assets. And because of that are overpriced for what they are.
And Fallout 76 is the worst of those 3 when it comes to quality.
I love post apocalyptic settings, whether its video games or movies. And right now Fallout 76 seems to be the only decent semi post apocalyptic MMO you can play right now.
In 76's current state, it still isnt perfect, but I'm having surprisingly good time with it playing for the first time. I have 26 hours in it so far and I havent run into any game breaking bugs or things I've seen in Youtube videos that make fun of the game.
However, id still encourage suggestions for alternative post apocalyptic MMOs. Theres a pretty decently large amount of people that want to play a good post apocalyptic MMO. But the options we currently have are terrible.
Defiance, The Will to Live online, sZone online, The Skies, Dead Maze, etc. In my opinion Fallout 76 so far is better then all of these games. Maybe when Little Orbit finally releases the remastered version of Fallen Earth, that could potentially be really good, but I don't know. They've shown no proof of it.
I've still got my fingers crossed for E8mber and that Rising Fire online game I'm kinda surprised no one is talking about.
I had bought the game and returned it when it first came out, because it was like a half done game. Now the game is fantastic and I am having a blast playing.
I have really enjoyed this game since launch, I think Wastelanders is a great time to begin playing for people if they are interested. If you already owned the game before, you got the update for free, so I don't see a reason to not give it a try. Also, the next update coming in may will be focused heavily on quality of life improvements to the game, and dealing with remaining bugs and from my understanding it is a pretty sizeable patch. In addition to that, the things they talked about in the AMA the other day really shows that they have a lot of plans for this games future.

How is it overblown? The makers made promises then broke them. They even punished people for pointing out bugs and exploits in the game. Now they're even stealing from players.
So how many of you have had rare items stolen by NPCs so far?
I haven’t experienced this. I think it’s related to the ally/companions you can recruit. I just got my first one a few days ago but he hadn’t gone on any missions with me, He just keeps walking in and out if my base and leaving the door open.

So far the remastered version of Fallen Earth is just a wish from the developer after shutting down. It isn’t actually happening or being made right now. I was on their forums when they were closing, their main dev simply expressed his wish to make a new version somewhere in the future. Which is too bad really, I liked the game.

Fallout 4 still scratches any fallout itch I have. Maybe I just don't itch in the right places?

Not trying to sugarcoat it, the game had many problems, large and small, similar to the majority of any newly launched mmorpg's would have, nothing new there and internally people made some very bad decisions with regards to things such as the collector edition.
However........ when all that was going on i was playing the f'ing shit outta the game, having an amazing good time, but how could that be according to the internet i should be outside their head office with torch and pitchfork in hand for so badly wronging human society. Do you people even listen to yourselves, it's a f'ing video game, a very playable and fun af video game at that.

Don't support this garbage. 76 has been broken since launch and they have the audacity to load it with micro-transactions and a SUBSCRIPTION option. Like, give me a break, seriously. This game is a cash grab in the truest sense of the word. This is not a "well, they have to make money somehow" situation. This is a "we need to throw some multiplayer live service type game out there like Destiny or somehing so we can milk the hell out of our players, regardless of the quality" situation. They also broke their promise of "no gameplay altering mechanics" in the store....by a lot.
Also, saying a game is more fun with friends means the game is just not good. It is really difficult to find a game that is NOT more fun with friends. I mean, tossing feces around a locker room is more fun with friends. It should just be implied that a game is more fun with friends. If you have to point that out there aren't many other positive things to point out about it.
I played it one month after release. Can't say I did not enjoy it. I just did not like it that whitesprings grind was pretty much the only place to level up fast just like I did not like dolmen leveling in ESO.
never was worth even less now, feeding failures will only gave then more reason to craft more failures, it don't matter how well tehy make the game or how much heat they get, as long you fools feed then money they will keep going, bad rep is still a rep, being forgotten that is the problem they want to prevent

Solo was impossible at launch, and now with the sub i can confirm it's just as fun with or without friends.
The key to video games is to have fun, and multiplayer games key is fun with friends so you're kinda saying Fallout 76 scored a huge win there.
