Is Mortal the game where you could skin characters?

Never played the first one but I have over 1000 hours in Mordhau and it gave me a very similar feeling about the combat. Definitely looks really good for an alpha build. If they improved on this and have it handle massive scale fights I would def get on this.

They have enough money to make a 2nd game?

The first never felt finished to me, maybe they've learned and will actually make a complete game this time that isn't the most buggiest thing I've ever experienced in my life.

Video I recorded back then, oh boy it's old:
That was back when the game was pay to play, btw. 2 years after release; after its beta testing.

Sunk like a Subamrine with Screen Doors, even people that claimed they want Open World PvP didn't get into it.

I'll put money on this game failing as bad as the first game. there is zero chance that this will succeed -- for good reason.

The first game is still online after all these years. Hate on it all you want, if they keep the servers up and have money to make a new one then they're doing better than many teams :)

I remember in the first one. The high level plaeyrs would go into the noob zone, and they would run between the noobs fighting the mobs, and  they get hit so they could attack the noobs without penalty. Stupid game design. Also the books were really dumb. The paid players had a huge advantage over the non paying ones.

The CEO was from a very rich family and my understanding is that for a very long time it was basically himself and his friend Sebastian that worked on the game with the occasional unpaid intern.  It's pretty much a hobby.

Met the devs at Gamescom (or was it even Games Convention before they changed to Gamescom?) and had a nice talk with them. They seemed incredibly passionate about their project, so much that it convinced me to fund the project with the biggest bundle. I think it was about 90€ or so. Anyway, it turned out that this was an even bigger mistake then buying a ticket for an event like Gamescom. I think until today Mortal Online was the worst game I have ever bought in my life. Can't wait to fund part 2! jk ^^

That was $99 with a metal box, 2 metal figurines you could paint with packaging, a nice looking incomplete artwork diary book, poster and a bag. Got alot more for your money then than you are now thanks to EA practices.

I also get a kick out of the fact their name looks like douchette, and I get an even bigger kick that the mods haven't been removing these spam bot threads. But hey, I guess I should thank the spam bots for necroing a lot of my threads which in turn made people contribute more to the threads since they didn't look dead.

Anyone who thinks companies like Bethesda, Blizzard, Funcom or even EA are bad. Get a load of these guys - this is by far the worst game company in the world (daddy died it seems too).

It's alright as a "successful project" if you go into it expecting that then you won't be disappointed. If you expecting an AAA game there is alot of room for improvement. I don't think it's worth a look personally but I like being proven wrong.

This isn't a signature, you just think it is.
