Wow, that looks awesome; and love the theme and world. I've been wanting an AC in this setting for years, but this looks better than Ubisoft could ever do.

Visuals are amazing. Exploration is awesome. Combat, well, too much one shotting for my taste. Overall really good.

This does indeed look really nice! I wonder how well it will run on my dusty old PS4 though.

One shotting is actually quite realistic but I get your point.

The basic esign of this game is good,i love open world exploration.

Where this studios goes wrong is your hand holding players to all the exploration points, that idea is bad and not fun.

So remove the hand holding and the exploration is fun again.
Combat, well yeah it's action combat and runs off the controller keys so it is limited in what it can do.
Narrator talks about precision but i noticed the square button is auto assassinate,so yeah combat is not very good.If i could put it in one word,"timing"that is all action combat is to me just timing and very little else. Photo mode seems limited to very few colors and a single particle effect.

Is there any other game you like that isnt named Atlas?

The feudal Japan, samurai setting just doesn’t do it for me. I find it rigid and boring. Like Sekiro, it’s visually beautiful and well polished, but the lack of variety in maps and locations bothers me among other things. Preview looks like Witcher 3 Sekiro Edition. Common roach let’s follow the wind arrows to the next village. I will pass.
Now that you mention it, I did get a Witcher 3 vibe as well especially with the map location question marks and reveals. But that's not a bad thing in my book since I loved W3.

But I'm a magic junkie and I would definitely miss not having that in this game. I'd even welcome some of that crouching tiger, hidden dragon magical martial arts and would spec in that if it were available :)

It probably is realistic. It's just that I want certain things in a game that I might not want in a simulation. In a game, I like for combat to last a while and not be just me whacking mob after mob and instantly killing them. It's a function of fun, not realism.

Also, it seems odd to follow bird or a fox to the hidden entrance to the secret cave or mountain pass or whatever, and then, from now on, we promote realism.

I wasn't thinking so much about the straight martial arts part as I was about running up walls and on top of bamboo trees... their fantasy magic stuff. I just find it hard to play games that don't have magic in one form or another. Like in the Mass Effect series I always go for Biotics.

    Like I said, I'm a magic junkie.

I just played 4 cod games the past week, what is your point?I also played Metro as well.

Here is a news flash,i don't have to like everything shoved in my face and i don't like hand holding in games ,i like to explore the world for MYSELF.

Instead of asking me a stupid question,i'll ask you one,i assume since you made this IGNORANT comment you like your hand held in games, you like games telling you where to go what to do?

This better be why you made that  comment ,otherwise your agreeing with me?You don't like exploration in games, you like the game to do it for you?Is this what you are saying?

Or did you just make that comment to be an ignorant/rude person?

I was on the fence about this one, but this... this looks good. I'll keep it as a consideration for my next vacation.

Yeah, I agree with you on the hand holding. I want to be able to wander around and find some ancient tomb and be like "oh crap, I unleashed a curse on the nearby town." Now i have to rush back and save the town with this new event that's unrelated to the main story itself.

IDK it seems like you throw out alot of essays judging games you have not even played. Why not wait til it releases and actually see if it is an issue first. There are many games that have assassinate options tied to 1 key press. Granted he was up higher but to me it just seemed like the key was for a drop down kill.
What I liked about the video was you can do the clear the camp loud and messy or stealthy same as Deus Ex Human Revolution which was an awesome game and ALSO had assassinate stealth move 1 key press if you got in range of the npc unnoticed.
