PC parts compatibility checker?

MightyUncleanMightyUnclean Member EpicPosts: 3,531
Hey guys,

A friend of mine in Canada wants to build his own gaming PC, but he has no idea WTF he's doing.  He doesn't want to order online, so he's going to have to find all the parts locally.  He should probably buy a pre-built system, but he wants to save money.

Anyway, does anyone know of a good PC parts compatibility tool he can use to mess around with builds?

Thanks!

Try PC Part Picker. It is very popular and very useful. I use it for all my builds (and just to play around). It also helps you find the best price for the parts and you can filter by where you like to shop (or to a particular store if you have a gift card).

I was just about to suggest that also, when I noticed colvinj beat me to it.

Or you could tell him to ask for help here, in case he wants parts that actually make sense rather than merely being compatible.
