Don't tell me what BLM means, I know what it means, do you? It means exactly what it says. BLACK LIVES MATTERS.

All the other faux sayings are red herrings to try to take away power from the original slogan.

What's crazy is, people are attacking this (BLM) when all we are basically saying is

    stop killing us.

Very well then, please explain.  In your view, is "Black lives matter" merely saying "it would really be nice if there weren't any unjustified police killings, but we have no idea how to make that happen"?  Or do you see the movement as proposing particular changes toward that end?
I just told you, the goal is to create a better future and that means change the way policing works in America. Half the things Police are used for aren't even needed. WHY does armed police come when a special needs person is having a fit?

That person needs a social worker not an armed worker. Police do not help most situations. I don't know what you are getting at, but BLM isn't saying any of what you are saying here. We aren't saying it would be nice if blah blah.. we are very specific.

Stop killing unarmed black people. Change the way Police operate. The law should not protect police that break the law. Its that simple on the surface but there is a deeper layer that I don't care to explain to a non-black person. Somebody else may, But I really don't want to unpack it here.

America has had a race issue since it started, it isn't new. It's Very deep-rooted. The only difference is this is the first generation that can actually capture the injustice in real-time and spread it around the world in seconds. Its causing other countries to also see. America is an embarrassment for democracy. Its been that way for a long time.

Ya I guess the 390 black people killed in Chicago in the last 360 days don't matter oh right because it was not by cops or white cops but by other black people so that is not a good talking point. Why don't their lives matter? Look no should die in police custody but the fact is people do not seem to be to upset with what is happening in Chicago but only when they can blame the police or some white person. Care to explain what looting a music store has to do with black lives mattering? and just in case you don't belive me here is the link from the Chicago tribune about black deaths. https://www.chicagotribune.com/news/breaking/ct-chicago-homicides-data-tracker-htmlstory.html

    @Nilden

I'm going to ignore everything else you said but I will address that MLK thing.

White people need to learn about who Dr. King really was. Stop using him as a signal for inaction. He wasn't that at all. That's the surface level version of him they taught you in school because they didn't want to make you uncomfortable. Everything they told you about him was a lie. Read what Coretta Wrote. Talk to his children.  Read the material he wrote. You have no idea what is philosophy was about because if you did you would see how stupid that meme is. Yall need to stop using Dr. King to make points because you don't know enough about him.

Also Dr. Martin Luther King Jr-

    "First, I must confess that over the past few years I have been gravely disappointed with the white moderate. I have almost reached the regrettable conclusion that the Negro's great stumbling block in his stride toward freedom is not the White Citizen's Councilor or the Ku Klux Klanner, but the white moderate, who is more devoted to "order" than to justice; who prefers a negative peace which is the absence of tension to a positive peace which is the presence of justice;

who constantly says: "I agree with you in the goal you seek, but I cannot agree with your methods of direct action"; who paternalistically believes he can set the timetable for another man's freedom; who lives by a mythical concept of time and who constantly advises the Negro to wait for a "more convenient season." Shallow understanding from people of goodwill is more frustrating than absolute misunderstanding from people of ill will. Lukewarm acceptance is much more bewildering than outright rejection.”

You didn't answer my question, so I'll try again, worded differently.  Do you see "Black lives matter" as endorsing goals only (e.g., no more unjustified police killings), or also means to achieve those goals (e.g., abolish the police)?

The reason I ask is that it's a very important distinction.  Merely proposing goals (e.g., every child should have a good education, or everyone should have good health care) is pretty inoffensive, but also pretty useless without means to achieve those goals.  As soon as you propose particular means, you've entered the realm of politics, and there are going to be pros and cons to whatever you propose--and in nearly all cases, someone else might reasonably think that the problems outweigh the advantages.  That's just how politics works.

The world needs an honest lesson in inclusion. Perhaps we should all root for an alien invasion to draw us all together for the first time as a unified race of humans.
Think of SARS-CoV-2 as an alien invasion and look at how well it hasn't drawn us all together.

The BLM leaders themselves stated, "by any means necessary". They are not trying to be political. They're being forceful.

This is exactly why we are saying BLM. You don't get it.

There are far too many black people that are innocent being killed by police.

    Bottom Line.

Don't tell me what BLM means, I know what it means, do you? It means exactly what it says. BLACK LIVES MATTERS.

All the other faux sayings are red herrings to try to take away power from the original slogan.

The first thing that you and others do is throw up some random stats you heard and say "black people aren't even killed that much unless its justified."

    Gaslighting 101 Playbook.

The truth is there for you to see yourself you just refuse to see it. Where are you getting data from? Sample Size? There are a lot of factors. My point is, no matter what you have there are too many black people being killed by police, you don't even hear about a lot of them, it has to be on camera to make news these days, and most of THEM never get charged with anything because of the Immunity Act which is another thing we need to get away with. Police should not be above the law.

I don't care that people think its a fad or want to jump on a bandwagon none of that diminishes the reality for me. I know what's real and what's fake. I don't care about ANY of these corporate statements especially because I know they are pandering and never did anything to support my community until now. But I am also thankful that they are speaking up fake or not because it's helping to move the conversation forward. That's the goal as far as I'm concerned. Help to create a new reality.

Like he said, more unarmed white people are killed by cops per year than black people. The problem is BLM and the people that blindly follow don't care about facts. I was behind the protests and even the attack on the police station, but the things that followed are a disgrace. The attempt to persecute people based on the color of their skin is racism in and of itself and that's exactly what is happening.

2016, Tony Timpa - google it yourself, died the same way as George Floyd and the news barely reported.

That's just one example that you would think would resonate well, but no one cares.
This is too easy. Show me a list of white people killed by police and I will show you the list of Black People killed by police. Let's compare.

I'm so sick of this false narrative. Unarmed white people are NOT killed more by cops per year that's a bullshit lie and its another gaslighting tactic. Show me evidence THEN I will believe you. You can't point at one random white dude.. it has to be 100s. I can give you a list of names right now in the hundreds of Black people killed.

What does it have to do with the fact that black people are getting killed at an alarming rate? Have you not seen the videos of children being attacked by police here in America? Literally black children are killed by Police.

I have NEVER seen an unarmed white man killed on Camera by Police. I have seen black men killed though. We would see it all the time, there are too many cameras.. somebody would catch, especially if its MORE...you said MORE than blacks.. think about that...you know how crazy that sounds? Its a lie. You cant even prove it. I will wait for you to do so.

I need names. Give me a link of names proving whites are killed more than blacks by police.

If it happens MORE than blacks then America would have burned a long time ago. White people will riot over sports teams, you telling me white people are killed MORE than blacks and none of yall said a word about it?

That's gaslighting bullshit and you know it.

A Protest and a Riot are the voices of the unheard and ignored. In that order.

    Respectfully.

Imagine having every news channel, every fortune 500 company and every entertainment company vigorously licking your asshole and telling you how amazing you are for 6 years and thinking you're "unheard" and ignored.

    Your persecution complex is pathetic.

Last time I checked, no company licked my asshole for anything. I'm supposed to be happy because Lebron James is rich? Laughable. Nothing changed.

I don't care about Social Acceptance, that's the problem with White America, they think Social Acceptance is enough. It's not. Social Empowerment, Political Power.. all of that is nothing if it does not come with Economic Empowerment. We aren't equal until EVERYTHING is shared in America that includes the Generational Wealth black people helped to create here. But let's talk about that word. Imagination.

IMAGINATION! Cool word. I love the word.

    Let talk about Imagination:

Imagine being treated differently no matter what your qualifications are.

Imagine being stopped because you fit a vague description then killed because the officer was "Scared"

Imagine being a Desededent of Slavery in a Nation that your ancestors helped to build, but your family didn't get to partake in the generational wealth that was created?

    Imagine being affected by Redlining

Imagine being told you don't have civil rights

Imagine being told "you cant ______ here" because of your skin color

Imagine saying Stop killing us, stop treating us like we dont matter black lives matter and somebody white saying "But What about All Lives Matters"

Imagine going to every major war in this country but never having citizen rights after the war was over.

Imagine saying black people are killed by police at an alarming rate and a white person saying "but the stats! what about Chicago!"

Imagine every time you speak up, somebody tells you to be quiet because at least Obama.

Imagine being a gamer that loves games but growing up in the 80s/90s you rarely see yourself represented in-game culture if it all.

Imagine a white person pointing out that you should be happy about having peanuts while they eat a full course meal with Uncle Sam.

Imagine. Imagine having the gall to think you can speak on something you will never experience.

The idea that black people are treated unfairly in the US is laughable. You're not persecuted. You're coddled to the point that being treated equally feels like persecution.

The recent discrimination case filed against Ivy League colleges by Asians over unfair enrollment practices revealed that blacks are admitted with SAT scores over 200 points lower than whites both in average and minimum scores.

Blacks commit an insane amount of crime. A recent Penn study estimated that the black murder rate is 11.7 times higher than whites. "Stop killing us" indeed. Blacks are 19 times more likely to kill a cop than police are to kill an unarmed black, and over 50 times more likely to kill a cop than a cop is to unjustifiably kill an unarmed black.

Imagine complaining about racist violence when this is what actual crime data looks like.

Imagine taking responsibility for your own failures instead of blaming them on everyone else.

Your'e not being targeted. You're being used for views from the media, social media outcry, and Democrat vote pandering because THEY KNOW it will resonate.
    More Gaslighting. It's sad.

Why is it so hard to believe that Unarmed Black People are getting killed by Police at an Alarming rate. Why must it be something else? why CANT that be true?

No matter what you personally THINK, Large amounts of unarmed Black People are being killed by police. That's the truth.

Don't tell me we aren't being targeted when Police are still killing black people since George Floyd was murdered. I don't care the reason, I don't care about politicians pandering, companies pandering.. the unjustified, unarmed killing is the issue. it needs to stop. Don't tell me we aren't being targeted, yes the hell we are. I don't give a damn about what you saw on TV dude, I'm telling you what I'm experiencing in real-time. I've gotten pulled over and feared for my life because the cops were aggressive for NO reason. You never had to explain to your son that the police might kill him because of his race. You never had to have those conversations.

Don't tell me about my experience. You have no idea.

It's not new is the REAL reason we are pissed. It's been happening, keeps happening, what you are seeing is a result of 100s of years of oppression. People are tired of it.

    stop killing us.

Imagine actually believing this nonsense. In all of 2019 9 unarmed blacks were killed by police in a country of 360+ million people. Most of them were killed while assaulting a cop.

Your entire narrative is a lie.

Here's an "innocent unarmed black man" just minding his own business and being completely unthreathening and helpless.

    "First, I must confess that over the past few years I have been gravely disappointed with the white moderate. I have almost reached the regrettable conclusion that the Negro's great stumbling block in his stride toward freedom is not the White Citizen's Councilor or the Ku Klux Klanner, but the white moderate, who is more devoted to "order" than to justice; who prefers a negative peace which is the absence of tension to a positive peace which is the presence of justice;

who constantly says: "I agree with you in the goal you seek, but I cannot agree with your methods of direct action"; who paternalistically believes he can set the timetable for another man's freedom; who lives by a mythical concept of time and who constantly advises the Negro to wait for a "more convenient season." Shallow understanding from people of goodwill is more frustrating than absolute misunderstanding from people of ill will. Lukewarm acceptance is much more bewildering than outright rejection.”

It's not about inaction it's about non-violence as a powerful weapon.

    He also had a dream!

He sure as hell wasn't shouting "What do we want? Dead cops. When do we want it? Now!"

It's not hard to understand. What's difficult to swallow is the desire to segregate even further. "I'ts a black problem", "It's racism", when the reality is cops have unjustly killed many, many more than just black people. That's the truth.

@blueturtle13 says the world needs a lesson on inclusion, but you spend so much time trying to separate.

No one argues about the need for police reform. No one argues that police should be punished instead of protected for any illegal action. Do you really care about that though?

This is exactly why we are saying BLM. You don't get it.

There are far too many black people that are innocent being killed by police.

    Bottom Line.

Don't tell me what BLM means, I know what it means, do you? It means exactly what it says. BLACK LIVES MATTERS.

All the other faux sayings are red herrings to try to take away power from the original slogan.

What's crazy is, people are attacking this (BLM) when all we are basically saying is

    stop killing us.

That's gaslighting bullshit and you know it.

    gaslighting

Oh I can post vague charts too.... the difference is my chart comes with faces and names that can be looked up to verify the stories.

    https://mappingpoliceviolence.org/unarmed

What you are doing... This is what racial gaslighting looks like. You post a random chart with vague numbers on it that has no names, no faces, no sources. Where did they even get this data from? Is it verified information? How do you know? Based on what? What cities took part in this data collection? I can provide you names which have stories.. every single name has a story that is verified. I'm sorry I don't believe a random chart that cant provides names of people it's talking about. If more unarmed white people are being killed than blacks it's going to be reported. Prove it. Names.

Also just so you know, this is how gaslighting works, you've done nothing but prove to me that you are a gaslighter.

What does white people dying too have to do with the BLM movement? I'm just curious why you are even bringing this up? you aren't disproving that lots of unarmed Black people are killed by police and you haven't proved that white people are killed more. Its almost like you just want to co-opt a movement that has nothing to do with you because you feel left out. It's weird.

Look, I need names if your claim is unarmed whites are killed more than unarmed blacks I need names. Not a random chart. Anybody can make a chart. Stop showing random charts. Names are the only proof. Names that can be researched.

I'm sure you are smarter than that.

Everything I'm saying is based on real-time information that you can see. Not a vague chart.

I'm all for equality but I laugh when I see these companies claim this for a spike in business. Think these politicians, businesses or media care about any one of you of any color?

The change needs to stop looking at the color of your skin as a "race". When you describe someone does there eye color or hair color make them a different race? Its just a distinguishing feature. When you teach kids that people are different because of the color of the skin you will get kids growing up to adults thinking they are different because of skin. We are all the same with different features, that is all, no group is better than the next, we all have good and bad, move forward together not separate.

Didn't read the article, are they for or against black lives? (jk, I'm sure they say the same thing every single company does.)
