    I have to ask.  Will a *musket* fire 200 shots per minute, like crossbows in other games?  Why have realistic looking graphics if the objects don't behave like their real-world counterparts?

    do muskets shot and kill then? ignore armor too? can I cut someone arm off and he will not return when dead?

    No, they have a long reload animation





    Unlike bows and arrows - muskets are instant hit on target - arrows in New World have arcs and travel time.

    The reload time on muskets sucks ass - and they are a lot more expensive to use



    if anything everyone WILL have one, shot once to start the fight then pull his other weapon and fight normally, unless after teh shot you are stuck on the reload

    ...i would love to see this game hold to what it promises, but what i hear from the actual testers is not really... promising :( - i still preordered - we have to somehow invest in mmo's or else nobody will ever produce AAA mmo's :D

    I got faith in AGS with this game. They've been transparent with us on the alpha forums and the weekly Q&A for the past couple of weeks has been nice. While there may not be a huge amount of content right now, I look forward to the team updating the game often and seeing the game grow.

    For $40 and no sub, hell why not.

    This is the kind of info released when the game is still 1-2 years from launch. This game is 7 weeks away from launch! And why is this on a Twitter thread? This all seems so low rent for an Amazon funded game.

    I wish Amazon would have used a previously existing Flintlock Fantasy world to ground their game. The lore would kind of automatically be better written and people could hype by reading the books. I'm thinking of Brian McClellan's Powder mage books here.

    Did it ever occur to you that some of us might be glad to see Kano gone? The site is a lot more enjoyable now

    He would respond the exact same way half jokingly slightly condescending and also strangely once indirectly called me a "detective" in a post when I called him out on something. I remember that word distinctly because I took it as somewhat of a compliment. The use of the word "detective" along with the way your posts are structured are identical to his. After reading someone's posts for a decade you recognize their writing pattern. If Wizardry deleted his account and started over I'm sure everyone here would know it was him on day one.

    Your last post before this June...the exact same time Kano disappeared..was back in 2014. Most of your 2014 comments are in vigorous defense of anything and everything Trion. There's only one other person on this site that I know of who constantly defended Trion with such ferocity. Anyone can go back and see for themselves but I have no doubt you are he and I'll just leave it at that. WB

    The warning flags on this game keep going up, I hope those who are fans have already played it, if not they could be in for a big disappointment.

    Apparently like TESO mind-numbing boring outfits. Seriously; not saw a single character that made me think "that look awesome/hot/insane!". All this dull stuff. Running around with a musket ain't improving that.

    *sigh* Maybe there will be more choice on release in the actual game but I doubt it.

    How did you arrive at $20 worth of PvE content? At least I gave some sort of mathematical equation as to why I believe the game is worth $40-50. I'd really love to hear your reasoning behind your comment.

    The NDA is still up - so details are a no no still.

    It is no secret at this point that the game is lacking in a huge way in PvE department though.

    Will they lift NDA before launch?
    They said a long time ago that when the beta for anyone who pre-ordered starts the NDA will be lifted. So in three weeks time unless there's another postponement.

    From what I read in another thread - user deleted their own account, mods didnt do it.

    I dont think mods would delete like that anyway, they can ban but not delete.

    for now we really don't know for sure, they said he did but can we really be sure? I wouldn't trust the mods here anyway, too moody for my taste and little regard for they own rules
