    Seriously dude.


    I even tried to like it minus the dash attack and it still came up as a game I'm glad I didn't buy right off bat and elected to steal it and promptly throw it back into the internet a stark reminder that nostalgia sucks.

    I'm like pretty sure it's not supposed to be battle toads it was probably some engine design for a new double dragon or something river city ransom like because it freaking plays like those two games...without the dash which is the weirdest shit ever.

    Who can hate on a game called Battletoads?

    EQ1, EQ2, SWG, SWTOR, GW, GW2 CoH, CoV, FFXI, WoW, CO, War,TSW and a slew of free trials and beta tests

    I feel like people who never played the original will enjoy it. I feel like people who can't accept that it's no longer 1991 will hate it. I knew which category this review fell into in the first sentence.

    It only got a 5, not sure why you would bother to review something that got such a low score; but if its a game you once liked 10/10 for honesty.

    For sure, that first sentence just screams that he is one of those people who flip out every time a movie from the 80s gets remade. I can only hope it was hyperbole.

    I played this on game pass last month.  It's just a beat 'em up - which I like, but if it wasnt part of the pass, buying another beat em up a few months after Streets of Rage 4 is kinda a waste.  It's definitely the best home version of Battletoads as the NES and SNES games were hot garbage.  Still not as cool as Battletoads arcade cab, though.

    The original Battletoads was an awful game, too. Lots of hype for no discernable reason, but the gameplay was terrible.
