A new generation in gaming! It's an exciting time full of possibilities, but also some decisions to make, unless you've got tons of cash burning a hole in your pocket and you can buy everything. These are my thoughts on the next gen options available.

    I haven't been in the consoles since Atari 1st gen Playstation and Nintendo. I had been using gamepass pc. When they announced the price increase I bought 3 years of Xbox gold live despite not owning an Xbox then upgraded it to ultimate for 3 years at less than $150. Now that I have content I will buy a console for the first time in a very very long time and acquire a series x.

    That's a weird set of options to list. You basically can't buy any of them yet (or at least, you can't get the physical hardware in your hands yet), and by the time you can, it's likely that you'll also be able to buy a GeForce RTX 3070 and/or a Radeon RX 6900 or whatever AMD decides to call their big Navi card. Yet neither of those get a mention.

    Well only thing for me would be a Nvidia GTX 3070. Don't do consoles and don't do the controllers. Getting too old to learn, 68 going on 69. Also memory sometimes fails me so trying to remember which action bar/button combo to use is a no go.

    I'm a PC gamer through and through.  I've got little to no interest in console games.  My personal financial situation puts me in the position of being very leery/cautious of upgrades, especially for upgrades that seem to be marginal with my vision.  I'll stick with Intel 8 core i7-3770K processor, the nVidia 1080 Ti at 1920x1024 resolution and a collection of older games.  Then if something breaks, I'll consider a component replacement/upgrade.

    I have a PC and a Switch and will get the PS5. Xbox Series X I will skip as every Xbox game seems to also come out on PC anyway. The only reason for me to by an Xbox Series X is if ES6 would become console Xbox exclusive with no PC version.

    I plan to do the same thing I've been doing. PC gaming and the previous generation console when I can get one for cheap. I really only play sports games and a few other titles on consoles.

    I have a 4k PC and a Shield. I can stream any game from my PC to my TV. Sure I need to wait for some new releases but I have more games then I can play. I'm gonna pass on this console war and maybe upgrade my video card in the next 6 months.

    Plan = Buy them all. (Have them both pre-ordered)

    Reality = The PS5 and Xbox will play movies and I will game on my PC... like always.

    My plans are to ignore the hype and just keep playing games until it's obvious that my computer can't handle them anymore. I have an RTX 2080 Super so I think I'll be okay for a long time.

    Well with FF16 coming to pc and HFW on PS4 I have no need to upgrade.

    If they give me a reason sooner, before GOW, a PS5 maybe.

    Consoles are always buggy when they release so waiting has no affect on me at all.

    My choice was pretty easy. Pre-ordered the PS5 for exclusives and already have my gaming PC for everything else, including any Xbox game I'd want. No reason to get an Xbox if you have a capable PC already.

    Xbox Series X is preordered and will probaly upgrade my pc next year. My PC and Series X are connected with Game Pass which is what I use to play games now. I dont spend $60 on games anymore and with Playstation going $70 for its 1st party games its a no go for me.

    $70 for 1 Sony game I can get 5 months of Game Pass Ultimate which covers me for both console and pc.

    I always have a gaming PC and latest Playstation. Non disc PS5 as I only buy digital. I'm a Playstation fanboy and having an Xbox 1 for my kids atm and tried it a couple of times further makes me a Playstation fan. I can't even compare the 2 be it for the ugly controller Xbox has or stupid menus. I really hope more people lean towards xbox so I can find a PS5 asap in stock.

    Within the next year I'll get the whole package...PS5, XSX and a 3080/BigNavi PC.

    I'll wait for the next Zen architectural update to build a completely new PC though with a 3080 20GB or the BigNavi.

    I’ll stick with my PC and Switch for at least a year and then add a PS5 second model. Xbox is basically my PC on the TV which is something I have no interest in.

    I do hope that in 2021 the prices of 1TB SD carts will be coming down. I use a 400gb on my Switch and its more then full.

    'This does not apply just to ED but SC or any other game. What they will get is Rebirth/X4, likely prettier but equally underwhelming and pointless. 

    It is incredibly difficult to design some meaningfull leg content that would fit a space ship game - simply because it is not a leg game.

    It is just huge resource waste....'

    Gonna buy a new PC but wait with ps5 im happy with my ps4 pro and wont pay £80+ for a game....

    Why would I be excited? I am looking forward to eventual PC ports of Nioh 2 and DeS / BB, but otherwise? ....yeah, why?

    Bought a PS4 about 4 years ago.

    It's been relegated to Netflix and Youtube since.

    I'll stick with my PC for gaming.
