I really like the work they have done. Some really beautiful work.
I'm just a bit reticent to love all of it as they are "adding" quests and I think they might have removed some? That last bit was from an ESO you tube video so I'm not sure if that's correct.
there is a difference between expanding such as what they are doing with landscape and actually adding things that just don't belong.
However, in the end, "it's a mod" and I suppose it needs to be seen in that light. "it is what it is" and one can play it or not.
It will be really exciting to check it out once it's done.

Gotta agree with the others, much respect for the work they have put in but its took too long. It will be so dated looking when it comes out and is already dated looking.
It has taken too long. I know, big project, not done by a company, work of love, etc ...
I use to be hyped, now the updates just leave me ho-hum.
But it is a big project it is not done by a company and is done by volunteers and it is a work of love.
Not only is the creation kit a buggy unfriendly tool (thought it's easier to use/understand than other tools for other games), but they have to recreate everything in the game.
I would say just temper expectations instead of getting "hyped."

Looks amazing and even if it takes a couple of more years with VI out, I'll be looking forward to this version of Oblivion. Curious to see a character creator and what cosmetic help will be done to the mutant looking player character art.
Now Microsoft is in the mix I hope it doesn't hinder anything and maybe throw in some support?

So true... and total props to the folks working on it.
Sad to see such love and hard work going to what is arguably the poorest of the ES games. Lackluster game design combined with Todd Howard's overwrought claims really led to a huge let down. As such, the info on changing aspects of the game in the mod gives me a little hope for this.
All the computers in the house had Morrowind on them for years. After six weeks, Oblivion was off every computer here.
If you are holding out for the perfect game, the only game you play will be the waiting one.

My copy has a mod that updates the characters as well as a mod that makes the landscape rolling hills as opposed to just "flat."
Also adds a better sky.

download it and play it. I think it's mostly complete.

Yeah i was at one point too, just too much time passed where i barely have any interest in single player games anymore let alone be onboard for a mod.
I mean atm and foreseeable future, i'll still be playing wow r/c and swg:l and with nothing really solid on my radar, probably be years.

Daggerfall was my fav of all the ES games. The best dungeons by far.
