Blizzard has just revealed that Shadowlands, the latest expansion for World of Warcraft, has been delayed to later this year.

    Thank you BLIZZARD. WE DID IT BOYS. WOW DELAYED. WE DID IT. the best news that we could get. Im so glad. I rather get the game later than a rushed one with tons of bugs.

    I love it. Now im super hyped about the expansion. This has a potential to be as good as Burning Crusade because it was delayed also

    I'm kind of surprised but really happy with this decision. So far I really like what I play on the beta. But it's nowhere near to a release state. I really didn't expect a decision like this from Activision tbh. Thank god they delayed it tho. They should take their time and polish it as much as they can in the meantime. At least we are getting prepatch in 2 weeks and I will have enough time for my alts till the expansion drops.

    Only if they did so with BfA too, which .. it was a mess of a launch and continued like that for at least few month after the release.

    I am ..different about this News as I am not hyped at all with Shadowlands.

    They REALLY need to release a very solid and decent expansion in order for me to purchase this x-pac. So I guess this is a good call, because usually delay's are good, if .. the content, at his base, is great.

    Fire Ion. He does not deserve to be in charge of the WoW franchise. Get rid of him. He's dead weight, and he has been since he took over director duties.

    Damned if they do damned if they don't. They do something new and innovative (whatever that means) and players who want to play "World of Warcraft" as they know it will scream. They don't change things and people say "be innovative."

    And what about all the people who wanted to go back to classic? Clearly it wasn't "new and innovative" they were looking for.

    They're better off staying the course and checking the pulse of their player base while they do it.

    it a easy speech to make and can be applied to anything that has change from the normal that people are used to, so it meaningless overall. did he add how the change is better ? why the old ways is better? why anyone did not want the change? no? so it a easy comment with no context.

    Would be funny if an asteroid hit, or WW3 broke out around the world and the expansion never came because everyone asked for it's delay. The folks left to eek out survival in a ruined world after the apocalypse would forever wander the streets talking about the WoW expansion that never was because it got delayed; forever cursing 2020 as the worst year that ever happened. xD

    Takes 5 minutes to get a refund so atleast their doing the right thing there. Will be playing it at some tine in the future anyways so not really in any hurry and can do other gaming commitments in the mean time.

    HA! I called it! It was clear as night as day, when Blizzard was still dead silent on the pre-patch date so close to Shadowlands release.

    I'm surprised that wow still has a fsnbase considering how repetitive it has become. I also expect that the player base is at its lowest it's ever been.

    2020 has been my best year ever.
