You gotta love how it's just accepted that players will beta test their league launches. GGG's biggest issue is that they release leagues when they are minimally viable rather than when they are ready.
Luckily for them there is literally zero competition. But the overall vibe of the playerbase seems to be diminishing over the last year or two.
GGG needs to cut back their leagues to 3 a year instead of 4 to give time to flush out all the problems.
They could leave each league at 3 months and then do a 1 month flash back league going into the new league or something. I find the Flash Back leagues to be quite fun personally, they add a nice little change of pace and would also give GGG more time to put out better quality content.

With exile con still less than a year ago I would say its a little exaggerated regarding vibes. But for sure they have had this problem of delivering unfinished leagues for long and does not seems to be able to avoid it.
No matter what build I do, I always die to a random monster, with a one hit on some random encounter, game totally broken and unbalanced
I don't know if you're talking about leagues or some high level content, recently I decided to play the game as a casual player, created a Duelist and reached the Prison in ACT 1 and the boss there literally melted me, I didn't even have a chance at killing him and that was the Normal mode, not Hardcore or anything like that... I died and tried to kill him 2 times and when I died just as easily, I gave up and uninstalled the game.
I remember playing mostly Duelist and Shadow a few years ago and it was not that hard and was somewhat more fun to play, I don't know what they did to the game, but it feels more like a polished turd than anything else at this point.
When PoE2 releases, I will probably play it for 20 minutes and uninstall, my hype for this has completely evaporated.

I think they could have three fresh leagues and one flashback per year to let them stay on track for the 3 fresh ones. But they clearly are afraid of the drastic reduction in the sales of supporter packs and MTX during the flashback league.

I'm not stating it as a fact, but my impression is based on many big streamers giving up on leagues earlier and feedback on reddit and the official forums.
But since they have no real competition we're unlikely to see a dropoff in league start populations as a whole. I'd have to guess that POE 2 is still a couple of years away and so they can't take the player base for granted like they did this past year.
