EinkSteink Im so glad you play MO 1&2. I could interact with you all day HYPING THIS THREAD. As a matter of fact I look forward to Virtually meeting you in the courtyard seeing how much time we can spend together Adventuring and having fun FullLoot PvP https://www.mortalonline2.com/
The fanaticism of gamers seems to be inversely proportionate to the scale and quality of the games they are defending...
If this were a video game it'd have some really, really devoted fans:
"Social media gives legions of idiots the right to speak when they once only spoke at a bar after a glass of wine, without harming the community ... but now they have the same right to speak as a Nobel Prize winner. It's the invasion of the idiots”
― Umberto Eco
“Microtransactions? In a single player role-playing game? Are you nuts?” ― CD PROJEKT RED
It's just funny watching you guys 'advertise' for a game I play and want to see do well, and butcher it by being ass hats. You and MaDeuce are just giving people more of a reason to avoid the game.
i still don't understand.
i just post stuff about the game, like the free beta stress test and linking to the website etc... how am i being an asshat? genuine question.
I have been testing the development of MO2 since the beginning of Alpha. I have yet to see any corruption and or short comings as an Alpha Tester. I'm willing to bet Beta testing is going to be just as fun. This game is big on Community with development and to be quite honest they listen to all recommendations making the interaction as a tester very pleasant! This MMORPG is welcoming to all gender and cultures world wide. 6x HUGE world Map of the original allowing for endless fun and community building. Highly recommend being a part of the Development as a tester through the Beta Stage. So get your lunch money ready and set your GPU to 3070! Back to testing, hope to see Beta testers giving accurate reports and opinions. Have a great day MO2 Community and those of like mind
Hey yall should add a Faction PvP server. That would be the few reasons I would play yall game. You can keep the Faction PvP fans in one server and the FFA PvP fans in another. Could help your business grow.

Mortal online 2 is very unique in build as being a strong community base mmorpg pvp/pve sandbox. It has weighed/measured Time and Money vested into the quality of perfecting what a mmorpg should act/perform like. "Every opinion gets heard" as you voice your's in the testing community to contribute in building a great game such as this. You get to, in a sense are the audience's voice to the content developer as a tester. In short, I *like* your opinion that will have to be tested and decided in the community.
If you've read this thread so far you'll have noticed a lot of love and hate for MO. And perhaps be wondering why. I think I can explain.
Almost everybody I saw try MO - and that was a lot of people - had the same initial response. This game has HUGE potential!! Did it live up to that potential? No it didn't; by how big a margin is a matter of hugely varied opinion. (Personally I thought it came quite close.) But some loved it and some, disappointed in not achieving the huge things they hoped for, hate it. Consider the quality of that hate - slapshot here has been pasting MO hate on here for years! This is a love that failed. (Unless he was one of those banned for cheating maybe?) Do you have that quality of hate for a useless nothing game years later? Frankly you probably can't even remember it's name. Everybody who has played Mortal remembers.
What makes MO so memorable? It's a true sandbox game in an age when many talk about it and chicken out. MO never gave up on it's vision and MO2 looks to have learnt from a lot of it's mistakes. Too early to be sure but this interview () is very encouraging. (Though I must warn you it's very long, but appropriately stuffed with info and honest answers. (And that very annoying background music stops after 10 mins or so.))
And while it's too early to say how everything will turn out I can say the graphics are stunning!

To have a "strong" community, you must start by having a decent number of players...
True - but sometimes the games with very low number of players (like few hundred) have the strongest communities - example Project Gorgon
Oh yes, sometimes a few people gather around a piece of turd... that doesn't make them a strong community, just a bunch of people with more patience than me for crap

I Star Trek that shiz is still going and breaking boundaries! It's all about THAT reach towards the outer limits not LIMITING that reach... hmmm I smell a few turds that have had their baby boy band hearts crushed and cant pick themselves off the floor... Funny doesn't point towrads TESTING & GIVING REAL UP TO DATE UNBIAS OPINIONS ON PRODUCT. Pho-aK all the baby babble! Everyone welcome to join community we handle trolls https://forums.mmorpg.com/categories/mortal-online-2
Unbiased opinion ? You're a funny guy, I invite you to revisite the dictionary page of "opinion".
Anyway, my "unbiased" opinion of someone who played the first and tested the second: same pile of FFA PvP gankfest shit which will end at the same place... at the bottom of the trashcan of MMORPGs. And I definitely won't take the same risk I've taken with the first one I believed could be the new Utima Online. Have a nice day
Thank you! Watch your step out the door neighbor Next
Some people trolling think they are the community LOL you might have a collective following base... but it don't collectively make you who you are. obviously somethings is deeper within your surface. not here to babysit feelings 18+ only please (maturity) https://forums.mmorpg.com/categories/mortal-online-2

How many million people played WoW? The largest shit pile of an MMO to date. Quite frankly you'd been better off just not posting in this thread at all.
"There’s been a long debate on why we don’t have regional servers to have minimum latency for the real time combat to work the best. Well there is a big important reason why, we designed the whole game and network to work with a huge range of different latencies and it’s meant to be played in one and the same game world server. We do have a plan to possibly add servers in different regions based on each continent.
The players can then choose to play regional or play overseas in the same game world."
Oh SHIIIiiii... I'll buy an alpha pack now!! Alpha and beta tests runs till the game goes persistent state in the end of 2020. https://www.mortalonline2.com/alpha/
I tried MO when it launched, despite that I was interested in MO2
Then I read this thread
Get away from my Tephra! (Ingame the most valuable ore)
Just kidding. Played MO1 since 7+ years.
They did some mistakes in MO1. And the launch (you mean steam release, right?) was a slaughter. The world wasn't decently sized for such a amount of players, and new players were basically standing on top of each other shoes.
Still I do belive they learned their lesson and MO2 so far seems to be much more polished than MO1 ever was.
Never managed to stay at any MMO for longer than a month, expect Mortal. Got me addicted.

Will be at the start of MO2 as well!
Yeah I was at lauch too (and in beta), even have the tin box for the physical edition somewhere.
As you said it was a disaster at launch, but even when I tried it later, it always looked and felt too rough around the edges
Hope this time they produce something more playable, because the base ideas are good
That is why Alpha and test keys are made available. So that the game gets a fresh Community lead in development. Development on a testers end consists of finding all bugs and breaking game. Discuss and report findings as a collective to move forward in progress. Look where we're at in development.. IMO a Community out numbers Trolls anyday of the week and can handle them (just ask Kevin). Whoop dat!! Didn't stop the progress of community or game. https://www.mortalonline2.com/alpha/
MO is a good concept. It was widely inspired by Ultima Online and led to some interesting concepts and gameplay being made. For a good amount of the time game was fun to play, though very buggy and riddled with issues.
What are these issues you may ask? Corruption, bugs, poor support, inconsistent/poor rules made, hackers, and poor management.
Corruption: Back in the day, MO had player mods known as Councillors. They would answer support tickets and do GM things but they would often abuse their power by spawning boss monsters (spider queens etc), scout for PvP groups during sieges, and mess with groups as well. Some of these councillors eventually became full GMs, most notably Herius (who still works with SV) and Galenus. Forum moderators were also all at one point players as well. One player who went by the name of Hooves became a forum moderator and doxxed a player named Diphrael who was in his rival guild. After Diphrael called out Hooves for doxxing him on the forums, the moderators banned Diphrael to eliminate dissent. It is unknown if Hooves was punished beyond being relieved of his moderator duties but either way, it is absurd that SV let this happen in the first place. Even to this day, forum moderators are former/current players.
Poor Support: A man once built his house in a sloped region of the Jungle. His house was awkwardly built at a 30 degree incline. He asked LGM Discord if he could move his house to not sit in a weird way that interfered with his ability to get into the house. Discord refused. A house was bugged out of the player's control and the LGM refused to fix it. Additionally, many mounts were lost on node lines and just generally due to the game's bugginess and Discord refuses to return said mounts. There were many other instances of poor support (who here remembers GM Lochdon?) but to name them all would take the length of a bible.
Bugs: Too many to name. Early on in the game, mounts exploded when you touched water. Late in the game, you'll still get stuck on nooks and crevices. Crashing on nodelines meant you died with all your gear on. This was an effective way of saving gear if you knew what you were doing.
Hackers: MO was hacked multiple times by someone named instakilla. The most notable occasion was when was when player logins, credit card info, bank info, all of that was leaked. SV half asses cybersecurity because they're too focused on making content rather than caring about the quality and integrity of the game. It took several hacking instances for them to finally START caring about cyber security. Here's a nice link to look at https://www.reddit.com/r/MortalOnline/comments/343btv/mortal_online_hacked_remove_all_personal_info_and/
Back in MO1, the forum was strictly moderated. A notable black member of the community, Strilan, posted a video with a song that used the N-word. Overly zealous forum moderators hastily banned this player for this, and it took copious amount of complaints for them to overturn this ban. Lots more bullshit from where that came from but let's talk about MO2...
In MO2, you are not allowed to edit your ini files. This means, if you are laggy in game and you want to optimize your frames, you cannot do so. Why is that? Because Henrik wants players to test the in game graphic settings. Yes that's right, you paid 40 dollars for an alpha and you are being told what you can and cannot do to your own personal graphics settings. You paid 40 dollars to test someone else' game; playability and fun is secondary.
Also, they made a rule that banned griefing. Players opening attacking other players without consent is considered "interfering" with testing IE griefing. This may lead to you being removed from the alpha. That's right once again, you paid 40 dollars to test a game the way Starvault wants you to. No fun allowed.
Finally, the game is an asset flip. This is not necessarily a bad thing; there are plenty of games that use premade assets and are great games. Except, those games are significantly cheaper than MO. This video shows how MO2 is basically 90% an asset flip with comparisons to a new game called Medieval Dynasty: Medieval Dynasty is only 30 dollars yet uses very similar graphics to MO2 and is significantly less buggy. As of now, MO2 would be a great game if it were 20 dollars with no subscription, but asking players to pay 40 bucks for an alpha or 40 bucks and 15$/month at launch for an asset flip is absurd, especially given the aforementioned deficiencies.

Its even simpler than the rants kids.. **Spoiler** Free Testing give always**Spoiler** Be the critic you clam to be or be a cry baby. Oh, if it's to time consuming AGAIN join Beta Stress Test. If that's not catching your interest then go find that what you need. A mmorpg community needs proactive people to build its community. No wonder numbers and margins were dipping boyz. Don't worry they weed themselves out
Trolling post Slapshot with your abuse in account mechanics that's real man stuff tough guy get bigger
There is no trolling. I literally find your posts to be LOL funny. If I made a stereotypical character of the Mortal Online player base these threads are what I would envision. I try not to post in them because I think you are doing a great job of explaining the game on your own.
In all sincerity, I encourage you to keep going.
