This past week the Shadowlands Pre-Patch went live for everyone currently playing World of Warcraft. However, this pre-patch is a bit different for two big reasons. The first is although all of the significant system changes have gone live, we have not started the pre-patch event, and we have absolutely no idea when that will start. Secondly, we have no idea at all when Shadowlands will launch. We could potentially be in the most prolonged pre-patch phase we have ever seen. This, of course, has

First things first, i want to finish capping my pally which was level 26 and chose mop. Within a few levels i was already presented with a plethora of cut scenes and story i I've never had the privilege before, even after running 9 toons through there over the last year or so when i returned to wow.
Being that i stopped at cata and returned at bfa, i'm looking at a serious amount, well tbh, mountains of content i've never experienced before. I was originally just happy the leveling was going to be better than before, never thought it'd be this superior. Thank goodness for Allied races, lots of expansions i want to explore.
Once the pally is capped (tonight) i'm going to pick legion not only becasue it's an expansion which i had missed but also to unlock the two remaining allied races i want.
Then the remaining alt to complete the all 12 classes capped goal, i'm seriously thinking BFA, even though i played it inside out, it's an atmosphere thing i guess, just love the zones, story.
My other option would be mop (again? yes! lol) from scratch as i'm unsure how dropping into one of chromie's option works when you're already half way to cap in that am i going to miss half.
Once all 12 are capped and all allied races unlocked, i want to pick 4 classes to main in SL, so far that will be Warlock (always), Pally, Hunter, and ? (druid or disc so far, two more alts might change mind.)
Then i want to check out more expansion's i missed and or revisit. 5 allied, first up surprisingly i want to check out WoD, i have a feeling this expansion just might be a delight in this format. Beyond that i'm sure i''ll run through whatever remains, including MoP.
So... i'm not in a huge rush for sl to drop any time soon, obv.

The server hopping private server community is all about the fast leveling rates. But do the current subs really level that many alts? If not, then they are doing it for the potential new players.
I'd love to see the data on how many people buy the game and quit due to having to level through so many expansions. Or how many refuse to buy the game because of the number of expansions.
At least new players can still do all of the expansions if they want to for fun. But there is literally no incentive to do so. Maybe this is Blizzards way of avoiding the costly revamps of Cataclysm and steering players to only the new content.
