"Cyberpunk Devs Receiving Death Over New Delay"

Skipped right over threats and went straight to Death. Cyberpunk fans are pretty hard core...

Still, kidding about the headline aside; I wonder the logic. If someone were to follow through on a threat...wouldn't that result in further delay?

I just don't understand why some people are like this. You should be happy the game is even being created to begin with, WTF is a death threat supposed to achieve? They're just doing their job, some people...

That's pathetic, if you're that hungup on a game you should just step away, get out of your little cave and go outside.

I really don't understand why people stil care about these things . Any public person recieves death threats nowadays. It's probably 0.0000001% of the fanbase of the game that would do something like that, and actually fulfilling a threat is another HUGE step. It's become so easy to threaten someone over social medias with an anonymous account. Reminds me of laws some countries are passing which allows the goverment to spy on its own people because of three people that died in a terror attack when at the same time more people die in the shower.

If you go to a local grocery store and issue death threats when they ran out of Twinkies is there jail time or community service punishment for the person issuing the threat. Why is there no punishment or charges against online threats? Why isn't this pursued more vigorously?

Do we have to wait until a person is hurt before any action is taken?

Stupid people doing stupid things. Sending death threats is wrong, but sending death threats over a video game? i could laugh in their faces for days.

I would assume it is a subset of the "a gun is a remote for life" sort of mentality that also creeps aound.

I question the validity of the statement but makes for good pr to further get your game noticed if not already noticed.

So what I figured happened if happened at all is some dude that works for CD got into some argument with some dude and ended up with a death threat or something close to such.I do not believe for one second some dude just straight up says I am going to kill you because I don't like the game being delayed, instead I feel CD twisted the truth a bit to make for some good PR.

So here is why I question this......
If someone made a death threat towards YOU how would YOU react?Would you go to Reddit or Twitter an tell the world "I don't appreciate it?"
IDK maybe you would I know social media would be the last thing that comes to mind IF<<<I was truly seriously upset by the threat. If it was truly a straight forward death threat that upset me I would immediately call the police and not turn to social media.<br />

If someone threatened my life I wouldn't want to take the chance. It's not like people DON'T carry out death threats. Regardless of the odds, I want 0%.

Absolute 0% risk on anything is unrealistic. You get a death threat every day, from your car and every other car on the road when you drive.

Guys, please. Just stop. Threats don't make developers do what you want. They just make you and the entire gaming community look like unattractive, psycopathic fucksticks.

Otherwise I'd threaten to take their office Doritos if they don't add 3rd person camera options.

As pathetic as it is to send death threats over the delay, don't think for one moment that CD Projeckt Red isn't pointing them out to garner sympathy to try and deflect the agitation over last min delays.

It's the internet, I'm not a dev and I get death threats weekly if I play pvp in any game, it's not new, been going on for 20 years.

lol, no, I don't get a death threat every day from "my car." Besides the fact that I live in a city and don't need a car, there is a difference between things that happen, you know "life" and someone with intent and purpose.

So yeah, there is no such thing ias 0% safe but that's not really the point. If someone is making a death threat you just don't know if they are really kooky nuts or if they are just an asshole.

I'd rather just take it seriously over "oh well, they probably are ok, the odds say nothing will happen ... "

If your at the stage of sending death threats, then im pretty sure that a delay to a game is the least of your problems.

This type of behavior is never acceptable no matter how often it happens.

That really needs to be changed.

I can't say I am surprised, I am not sure anything done on the internet surprises me about people anymore. Just wait a month for heavens sake.

“I want to address one thing in regards of the @CyberpunkGame delay. I understand you're feeling angry, disappointed and want to voice your opinion about it. However, sending death threats to the developers is absolutely unacceptable and just wrong. We are people, just like you.”

Actually he was wrong about this, they are obviously better people than the morons sending the threats.

I am only really disappointed in the delay because I blew a week of vacation time for the launch they guaranteed. They on multiple instances guaranteed no more delays so 3 weeks out from the launch I put in my time which I cannot get back. It's a pretty scummy move and kind of kills my faith in the company that they did something like that.

That being said sending death threats over something like that is insane. People who send death threats should be held at the same level as someone being charged for attempted murder in my opinion. Put these psychos away.

Those who made death threats deserve to never play the game. They deserve to have their PCs explode or something and then being unable to get a new PC.
