Last I heard, PvE combat in New World was being made easier and more basic. For those who are currently playing, is that true? If so, it's actually a good thing for me, since I suck balls at action combat.
No, the action side of combat had gone up a few notches. They sped up combat and the current videos has people dodging like bunnies trying to get poop off their tails.
Pretty tough to make its ultra basic system more basic. You have 2 weapons and at higher levels 3 and each of those has 3 abilities. That + light (LMB click) and heavy (LMB hold and release) attacks are it and all weapon abilities have a cool down.
The only recent change is that the cooldown was shared for the weapons and now they're per weapon, It's different than it was but it's neither more basic nor more complex.
