I'm kind of frustrated that it's going to take much longer than they announced but at the same time i want them to take their time and not pull an "SWG".

I really hope I'm wrong, but... I really don''t think we will see WoW released in 2004 at all. I still think that Beta will last at least a year. I could be wrong though, when you look at Blizzards website you can definately see that, even though they haven't started accepting Beta Apps yet, they are pretty far along with testing. Blizzard employee's are allowed to stay at the office and jump in the game to run tests and play around with it now. This is still considered to be part of the alpha test. They just released (as you all know) new material concerning the dungeons and even threw up 9 pics. In several of those pictures you can see that several groups are working together to make it through the dungeon. Also, just a quick point of interest to some, in one of the pics if you look at what is being said by some of the characters, there is the word "Guild" in thier line of chat. I can't wait to hear more about the guild system.
Anyway, again I'm hoping that it does release in 2004, but I'm not counting on it.
Yeah, i think their taking too long on their alpha and just put it out into open beta. So what if theres a few bugs, at least it will calm people down. Right now i'm freaking out!

A lot of the public would rather see a polished product than an item they spent $65 dollars to Beta. Which is where I fall into the category. I would rather see World of Warcraft with polished game play than my quenched WANT for it. World of Warcraft will come out in due time, and when it does everyone will be insanely interested in all the news. Blizzard has not let anyone down so far, why would they start in a new genre that could change their lives forever?

The release date seems to be on everybody's mind, and nobody really has any hope (hey, it's Blizzard we're talking about).
So, in an attempt to laugh at our childish obsession with the release date, please read that:

Have fun, and never tell anyone that I posted that (I want my WoW account to be around for at least five days)
