Remember that Cyberpunk 2077 save file issue where your saves would be corrupted if they were larger than 8 MB? Well, a new hotfix has (hopefully) addressed that.

Good to see CDPR's first EA title making progress. I hate to bash them since they've usually put out good products and I know they won't give up on this title until everything is solid in probably a few months (maybe even a year), but its still sad to see them to succumb to pressure just to get it out there.

One small step for mankind ......

I don' share the notion of "previously good products" as an excuse though because the gaming market has been a sinkhole the past few years and seemingly getting worse.

I won't be around to see it but man alive,i can just imagine what gaming will look like 40 years from now,i bet it would make Elvis roll in his grave.

This is one industry that will never be forced to release a solid product because it doesn't involve human safety and is looked upon as a pointless gimmick in life.

This will not be the last we hear of CDPR and debacles, you can bet on it.

There is and imo VERY surprisingly ONE studio that does deserve some "year ending" applause and that is Amazon. They could have done like all the rest, the consoles and the Cyberpunk's and push out their game for the holiday crunch but have chosen not to.

The blemish however and i pointed it out is that they already made their money doing the pre purchase/ea ordeal,so using the delay as a FAKE launch when the real launch already happened.

My issue, while I like the game, and want to play, is the following: While the last hot fix addressed issues, it made the game unplayable for me and others. I am hoping they address the problems with the last hot fix for many of us while addressing the latest issue in this hotfix.

This right here. About 1/2 my gaming community ran into problems playing the game at all after the last hotfix

Yep they fixed the 8MB save limit but broke performance for many PC players and introduced crashing on PS5.

Many are reporting broken main quest line near the beginning (maelstrom spider bot quest)

They just can't catch a break...

This game needs serious work in 2021

Fixes and Bugs in a New Game happens like in 99.9% of the cases. Breaking News right?

Yes, they might have fixed some bugs with this patch, and created others. But no worries, this is how ASAP patches are sometimes... "reacting".

They will fix the game, no worry!

Officially patching their bugs post launch at least gives them higher standards than Bethesda.  :*

haha the irony that CDPR ended up being greedy Corpos isn't lost on anyone

they are going to fix the game bugs, yeah, but they absolutely LIED to everyone about what this game was. They already got their money btw

It's wild how different this game is to what was presented even last year. Just wild. It feels like half of the game was cut content. Even down to the character creator being COMPLETELY different and bare-bones compared to what was presented just a year ago.

As I said I don't blame the artists/devs/coders etc.. this is 100% on the leadership

Same problem for me and my cousin who are both playing this game.  Neither of us has been able to play since the 1.05 hotfix.  The game was working well for both of us and the hotfix made in unplayable as it crashes with a minute or two for me.  My cousin is worse off as he can't even get the game to start correctly now.

Have you tried doing a scan and repair? 1.06 didn't break anything for me but I've seen posts from some who fixed their 1.06 issues with just a repair or in some cases a new DL of the whole game (66 GB or so on PC.)

In my experience, any game this hyped never ends up giving me enough hours to get my money worth.
