Has somehow turned into a 15.6 gb upload because I paused the download.
My DL was 509 MB
Well I guess you are one of the lucky ones. Mine said 2gb at start then it went to 993mb. Then I had to pause it because a website page I need to get to was extremely slow to load because steam was downloading. When I resumed the whole download started over with a 15gb download. Never had a single steam game, even TW3 do that when I paused a download. https://steamcommunity.com/app/1091500/discussions/0/2996548176275903723/

Mine's on GOG so no idea about Steam-specific issues.

Its weird, everyone that I've ran into that plays this game love it. On forums everyone hates it.. So is it good or bad? I don't get it! Was never on my top to play list but figured id get it later down the line.. guess its good I waited?
Since I can't play flashy games any more because of my condition, I've been watching CohhCarnage Youtubes, now and then. He plays the latest and greatest. He seems to not officially review but gives opinions along the way, however mostly always leans positive...... However he is the best for watching to make your own decision.
What I see, Seems boring and run of the mill and a GTA rip off. The interactive of the world is not near as great as I built up in my head and how they marketed it. The setting is in the near future (2077). But to me it's just 2020 underworld night life and an excuse to use holograms to show high tech, again been their done that too many times.
Half the people complain about bugs.... My experience seems people try and play on bad computers and are to proud to admit it.
Well stop trying to play on Laptops. GET A GOOD DESK TOP !!!! I stand by that rule no matter who tries to give me shit !
I understand playing and watching are two different things, but I take that into account.
This is very uninformed stance - what about those that followed Cyberpunk 2077 development for 8 years and have read all of those developer interviews where they promised features that are not in game?
Getting a good desktop isn't gonna bring any of those missing features into the game.
The AI will still be junk, the car handling total shit, still very basic gun play, still absolute joke police system and still totally meaningless origin selection among two dozen other things that were promised and not delivered
So please stop reducing Cyberpunk 2077 problems to simple "get a good PC" because the problems the game has run 100 times deeper than that
I have a top of the line Pc, the ONLY thing I could improve today (and would if they weren't sold out everywhere) is my Graphics card. I am running a 2080ti, and am looking for 3080 founders (not paying ebay prices, I will wait). Other than that everything else is great i9, 32 gigs ram, z490 MB. And I still have bugs.
So sick of this "buy a better computer" BS. Especially from people that haven't even played the damn game in question.
You have to look at the game for what it is, if CDPR's modding is to the level of Bethesda than they stole a Bethesda market.
I think you may have quoted the wrong post. My point is, it's not my computer causing issues which is what some of the potatoes around here want people to think.
I hope the people that enjoy the game do so for years to come. I don't have a thing against CDPR, I just think they should have made the hard call here and not launched this game until it was complete or at least playable across all systems.
If you want a new idea, go read an old book.
In order to be insulted, I must first value your opinion.

I have a i9 and 2080 super and I get bugs too, my post wasnt about bad pc stuff, it was about them releasing a buggy game in the same way bethesda does and hoping that maybe they have same modding capabilities bethesda games do so modders can fix it or better yet make interesting mods from it.
My thoughts now are that CDPR is no better than any other business. The open, consumer friendly nature of GOG just hid the fact they are as greedy and short sighted as any other publisher.
There is zero chance they weren't aware of the state of the game on last gen consoles. They did the wrong thing and while issuing refunds is great, there is no reason to believe they won't repeat the same mistake in the future.
They are most definitely not the successor to the Blizzard of old who released games when they were ready. I'm glad their stock value has tanked and I find it hilarious that they couldn't predict this happening.
It's true. I hadn't quite bestowed sainthood on CDPR but I did hold them in higher regard than any other devs. I think up until the day they released CP2077 for last gen consoles they had earned that reputation. I fear they have done irreversible damage to themselves now. What they've done actually makes them worse than EA or Bioware or Bethesda etc. because they had garnered such an incredible amount of goodwill that it's a more personal betrayal than if any of the aforementioned publishers did the same thing as it's mostly expected from them by now. It's a lot easier to feel deep ire for people who had earned your trust when they betray you.
Haven't played this in weeks, but after the new patch and driver from Nvidia today, it seems to be running great with, dare I say it, ray-tracing enabled on a 2070 super
I really agree about the AI and superfluous content really being underwhelming. It looks really good though, damn.
This game feels soooo much like the first Witcher game to me. It, too, was a janky mess that I had to finish because it really felt like, even with all it's shortcomings, they really had some kernel of greatness to it.

I've ben using RTX on my 2070 super @1440p for weeks by following the recommended settings from PC gamer:
"For maximum quality and performance, on an RTX card, we recommend starting at the RT Ultra preset. Then disable Chromatic Aberration and Motion Blur, set the four Local and Cascaded Shadow options to medium, and the two Volumetric options to medium as well. Keep RT Reflections on, turn off RT Shadows, and finally set RT Lighting to medium. DLSS should be at Auto. Note that Screen Space Reflections Quality and Ambient Occlusion overlap with RT Reflections and RT Lighting, respectively—they won't hurt or help performance if you're using RT."
Can't say I've noticed any additional performance increases after updating to 461.09 yesterday.

I don't think it was a performance patch this time. It was a security one from what I heard(Although the GEFORCE Experience had a ton of new 'optimal' presets for games, too). I just haven't played since before the update on or around Christmas.
Thanks for the readers' comments, I understand everything, and so I am also disappointed because at first I also waited for cp2077, then I was one of the first to pay, and then I suffered for a long time from numerous malfunctions and bugs, and then got my money back! I often read various publications and look for as much information as possible from various jazz and online magazines www.gamalive.com to never encounter similar problems again!
Cyberpunk 2077 is an open-world, action-adventure story set in Night City, a megalopolis obsessed with power, glamour and body modification. You play as V, a mercenary outlaw going after a one-of-a-kind implant that is the key to immortality. You can customize your character’s cyberware, skillset and playstyle, and explore a vast city where the choices you make shape the story and the world around you.
I love to play this game, playing it from past 2 months. And i loved it.

Never had a single steam game, even TW3 do that when I paused a download.
