I think the improvements to enemy AI, making higher level enemies to your level more powerful, and improving group play rewards is a step in the right direction.

Adding a ton of unique weapons is cool (well with stats and names, not sure if they will look different).

But again, I hope the top nerds are quietly working hard on the real issue... endgame (lack thereof).  May is coming...

Im happy with those changes even with nerfing usable weapons. Now you need classification. I dont really like you can handle melee & range weapons and use staff for heal/escape as well. I didnt find any fun when you simply escape with heal staff from 20 ppl. Thats not fun and real, was too easy to escape what you still can do if you pick that for year one of two weaps. Keep your good work devs.

This is incredibly lame... like why make the game less fun?

With 3 weapons you can have lifestaff+ 2 weapons like melee and ranged.

Now everyone is fucking gimped with only 2.

This is just a huge step back in terms of allowing players to play fun builds

I knew Amazon game studios were not the brightest bunch... but nerfing the weapons to only 2 is just a huge /facepalm

pretty much 90% of the population will use lifestaff as their 3rd weapon for "FOOW" spamming purpose. Still, i hope the game has better traveling option aside from the expensive town travel system.

I hope so to - but so far they're doing everything they can to slow the rate of leveling up as much as possible - instead of adding end game content - so I remain quite skeptical

They've nerfed XP from mob grinding, XP from PvP turn in quests, they boosted XP from quests (which is by far the slowest and dullest way of leveling up)

They've made it impossible to kill mobs +6 above player level - again to slow down mob XP grind

    etc...

They are artificially slowing down XP rate so that it takes player longer to reach max level - all to prolong players sticking with the game, and to delay players discovering lack of end game

Still nerfing number of weapons to 2 is incredibly dumb

Disagree with everything you have said. It's a new game and more importantly it's a MMORPG. Why would you want to level fast through it? What's the point of playing this type of game if that bothers you so much? The end game is.. pretty much the end. In every single MMORPG with the exception of a couple that got RvR right the end game is doing the same raids over and over and over again... why do you want to rush to the end just to get to that?

Whether it takes a players 30hrs "rush" or 90hr "frolicking" to end game, a ton of players will be at endgame in the first 3 months.  You know this game has minimal lore and storytelling... you're grinding fairly generic quests and mobs.

This game, (when hyped) did offer some pretty cool end game possibilities... factions that grow and shrink.  In practice, what they rolled out was gimp.  From PVE invasions to PvP invasions, sounded cool... but terrible in beta for the masses (only 50 players from a faction/city can participate in the cool events when they happen, on a 1000 player server).

    May is coming...

I mean, if you wanted to break things down to it's essential elements, why do you like leveling? It's just fetch quests and tutorials? Anything can be made to look bland when you spin it as such.

For me, end game is the goal because it's where most MMO devs tune there game the tightest. There's very few games that have leveling PvP that isn't wildly imbalanced to due to gear and skills acquisition. Even when you normalize levels, there's huge class imbalances. Same applies to any sort of group PvE content. It's always wildly under(mostly) or overtuned(sometimes) in most games. I don't raid anymore, but it's literally the most quintessential element of the genre, imo, as it most closely resembles pen and paper RPG dungeon crawls.

Most importantly, end game is where all players ultimately end up, so it's where most of your MMOing in an MMORPG is going to be. Let's be real, you can count on one hand the amount of MMOs that have been on the market for more than 1 year and the leveling experience isn't a barren single player experience.

Okey, destroy someone who wants to be a healer, let everybody use lifestaff. How is this a good ideea? to let a spear and axe player to use a staff to heal himself?

Literally the entire combat system needs reworking and even with the years extension they squeezed out I dont think its enough time. The combat was nowhere close to being good enough to carry a "PvP" mmo so are desperately trying to shoehorn PvE into it.

It looks nice but its just not a good enough base to build upon, no ones learning the lessons of Anthem and "the Avengers" and are just churning out pretty looking stuff which cant hold a playerbase.

Man just reading through some of these comments its no wonder MMOS suck now. Nobody wants to even play the game. They jsut want to rush to the end and grind end game dungeons for gear. sigh. TIS true about younger generations having less and less attention span and are now lesser attention span than that of a goldfish
