Not everyone has hopped on board with Windows 10, and for those Lord of the Rings Online players still sticking with Windows 7 and older, you may have noticed an issue with your patcher after update 28.3 hit this week. Standing Stone Games has acknowledged the issue and provided some work arounds via the official forums last night.

    On win 7 got few issues ; stop patching ,solve this disabling AV(Kaspersky) after continue , When Patcher stop responding ,I am restart Patcher and at final has done ,game working perfect !

    Release date of W7 was - October 22, 2009. Time to upgrade people.

    Just like I say eight year old console players should stop whinging and get a new console, or if they have sense a PC; I am also going to say don't expect games to work on eleven year old PC operating systems. Sheesh.

    LotRO is older game than win 7.I am keep it on my secondary , old PC just for some older software what cant work on Win 10

    Well it is an old game but these games even though they are old continue to upgrade stuff. My husband's old computer was unable to run DDO well and he was miffed when I pointed out it would run on lower settings. "I refuse to play on those settings" he loudly declared. Probably why he got a new computer.

    Not playing any game on it though, such a waste. He has a 2080 Super while I have a 1070. He claims he is waiting for the remaster of Mass Effect series. I intend to call him out on it, mark my words.

    So, they have gotten past the point of being subtle about it, and are just trying to directly kill the game now.
    Egotism is the anesthetic that dullens the pain of stupidity, this is why when I try to beat my head against the stupidity of other people, I only hurt myself.

    Have him roll a pally or something, and just join you on some kill fests!

    He just likes to play on his phone. So far not interested in any game I have suggested. I bet he won't play the Mass Effect trilogy either.
