My suggestions to the devs: Don't go Free to play and make the leveling process somewhat challenging. Too many games have faceroll questing and people are bored right away. Doesn't have to be hard just not trivial...
scaling...no
More than 1 person to complete, way too big a topic to discuss but there is more to it than just saying can't be soloed. There is also a way to accommodate a solo player but making it so grouping is just way more effective.
To keep old zones content alive you only need to look at FFXI's sub class sytem, scaling is just lazy work and ruins immersion completely. How would you even SCALE a mob properly and does this hint that all the game play will be in dungeons is that the only place scaling happens.
Player housing..sure ok,but just like the entire game, implementation is key,how they implement each idea makes or breaks the game.
So then i have to wonder about "negotiations with investors".Typically i would say an investor would influence the game's design in a VERY bad way wanting cash shops and any other possible way to maximize profits without caring about the actual game and the players. Also the profit margin is likely now VERY small, any publisher investor would take a huge chunk of the profits.
This is how a person's vision of a game he might like becomes a BUSINESS model and less the game the creator envisioned.
Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.
Basically clicking away text windows ruins every MMO, try to have fun instead of rushing things. Without story and lore all there is left is a bunch of mechanics.

I like small groups and hate big clusterf-ck raids and all the crap that goes along with it so much that big raids are a deal breaker for me. I went to their site but didn't learn anything about this question.
